SCOPE:
This NOVA, is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials.
The documentation submitted has beeae reviewed by the BCCD and accepted by the Building Code and Product
Review Committee to be used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having
Jurisdiction (AID).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Mimi-Dade County Product Control
Division (In Miami Dade County) aridly the AHJ (in areas other than Miami Dade County) reserve the right to
have this product or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in
the accepted manner, the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AIU may immediately
revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. 'BORA reserves the right
to revoke this acceptance. if it is determined by Miami Dade County Product Control Division that this product or
material fails to meet the requirements of the applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the high Velocity Hurricane
Zone of the Florida Building Code.
DESCRIPTION: GAF Conventional Built -Up Roof System for Wood Deck.
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name el logo, city. state and
following statement; "Miami-Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no
change in tie applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a midge or change in the
materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process_ Misuse of ibis NOA. as an endorsement of any
product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply
with any section of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: 'the NOA number preceded by the words Miami Dade County, Florida, and followed by
the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then it shall
be done in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors
and shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.

WOOD DECK SYSTEM LIMITATIiONS :
1 A slip sheet is required with Ply 4 and Flex Ply 6 when used as a mechanically fastened base or
anchor sheet.
2. Minimum 1/4" Dens Deck or rA Type X gypsum board is acceptable to be installed directly over the
wood deck.
GENERA LIMITATIONS:
1. Fire classification is not part of this acceptance, refer to a current Approved Roofing Materials
Directory for fire ratings of this product.
2. Insulation may be installed in multiple layers. The first layer shall be attached in compliance with
Product Control Approval guidelines. All other layers shall be adhered in a full mopping of
approved asphalt applied within the EVT range and at a rate of 20 -40 lbsfsq., or mechanically
attached using the fastening pattern of the top layer
3. All standard panel sizes are acceptable for mechanical attachment. When applied in approved
asphalt, panel size shall be 4'x 4' maximum.
4. An overlay and/or recovery board insulation panel is required on all applications over closed cell
foam insulations when the base sheet is fully mopped. If no recovery board is used the base sheet
shall be applied using spot mopping with approved asphalt, 12" diameter circles, 24" o.c.; or strip
mopped 8" ribbons in three rows, one at each sidelap and one down the center of the sheet allowing
a continuous area of ventilation. Eucircling of the strips is not acceptable. A 6" break shall be
placed every 12' hi each ribbon to allow cross ventilation. Asphalt application of either system shall

This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction materials.
The documentation submitted has been reviewed by Miami -Dade County Product Control Division and accepted
by the Board of Rules and Appeals (BORA) to be used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed by
the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product Control
Division (In Miami Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas ocher than Miami Dade County) reserve the right to
have this product or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in
the accepted manner, the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately
revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. BORA reserves the right
to revoke this acceptance, if it is determined by Miami - Dade County Product Control Division that this product or

3.1 Fire classification is not part of this acceptance.
3.2 For mortar or adhesive set tile applications. a static field uplift test in accordance with
RAS 106 may be required, refer to applicable building code.
3.3 Applicant shall retain the services of a Miami -Dade County Certified Laboratory to
perform quarterly test in accordance with TAS 112, appendix 'A'. Such testing shall be
submitted to the Building Code Compliance Office for review.
3.4 Minimum underlayment shall be in compliance with the applicable Roofing Applications
Standards listed section 4.1 herein.

3. LIMITATIONS
3.1 Fire classification k not part of this acceptance. Refer to the Prepared RooFTile
Assembly for fire rating.
3,2 Polyprom A11160 shall solely be used with Ilat, low, & high tile profiles.
3.3 Minimum underlayrncnts shall be in compliance with the Roofing Application
Standard RAS 120,
3.4 Roof Tile manufactures acquiring acceptance for the use of Polypro® AI-I160 roof
tile adhesive with their tilt assemblies shall test in accordance with PA 101.
3•5 Roof Tile manufactures acquiring acceptance for two paddy placement with the
use of PolyproQD AH 160 roof tile adhesive with their tilt assemblies shall test in
accordance with PA 101 and with section 10.4 as modified herein.

4. INSTALLATION
4.1 Polypro® A1 may be used with any roof tile assembly having a current NOA that
lists uplif resistance values with the use of Polypro® Al
4.2 Polypro AH 160 shall be applied in compliance with the Component Application
section and the corresponding Placement Details noted herein. The roof tile
assembly's adhesive attachment with the use of Polypro® Ai -1160 shall provide
suflicicnt attachment resistance, expressed its an uplift based system, to meet or exceed
the uplift resistance determined in compliance with Miami-Dade County Roofing
Application Standards RAS 127. The adhcsivc attachment data is noted in the roof
Tile assembly NOA
4.3 Polypro® A1-1160 roof tilt adhesive and its components shall be installed in
accordance with Roofing Application Standard RAS 120, and Polyfoam Products, Inc,
Polypro® AH160 Operating instruction and Maintenance Booklet.
4.4 Installation must be by a Factory Trained 'Qualified Applicator' approved and licensed
by Polyfoam Products, Inc. Polyfoam Products Inc, shall supply a list of approved
applicators to the authority havi jurisdiction,
4.5 Calibration of the Foampro0 dispensing equipment is required before application or
any adhesive. The mix ratio between the "A" component and the "t3" component shall
be maintained between 1.0 -1.15 (A) : 1 0 (13). The dispense timer shall be set to
deliver 0.0175 to 0.15 pounds per tile as determined at calibration, No other settings
shall be approved.
4.6 Polypro® AI - 1160 shall be applied with Foampro RTF1000 or Prof tick® 30 & 100
dispensing equipment only.
4.7 Polypro0 Al 1160 shall not be exposed permanently to stink

submitted, is no longer practicing the engineering profession.

automatically be cause for termination of this Acceptance, unless prior written approval has been
requested (through the filing of a revision application with appropriate fec) and granted by this
office.

h. Misuse of this Acceptance as an endorsement of any product, for sales, advertising or any
