It never occurred to me to apply for a building permit for my swimming pool cover since it is mobile on 4 castering wheels and not attached to the ground or house in any way.. It is made of welded galvanized steel tubing. The outside dimensions are: 36' 2"I, by 19' 0Q °W by 12' 9 "H. When finished it will have a canvas cover which I will remove when we have a hurricane.
