IF A PART OF THE HOUSE 18 TO SE USED AS THE BARRIER ALL DOORS
AND WINDOWS WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO THE POOL SHALL BE EQUIPPED
WITH AN EXIT ALARM COMPLYING WITH UL 2011 THAT HAS A MNIMUM
SOUND PRESSURE RATING OF 85 dB A AT 10 FEET AND 18 EITHER HARD
WIRED OR OF NE PLUG-IN TYPE. THE EXIT ALARM SHALL PRODUCE A
CONTINUOUS AUDIBLE WARNING UPEN THE DOOR AND ITS SCREEN ARE
OPENED. THE ALARM SHALL SO NO IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DOOR 18
OPENED AND BE CAPABLE OF BEING HEARD THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE
DURING NORMAL HOUSEHOLD ACTIVITIES. THE ALARM SHALL BE
EQUIPPED WITH A MANUAL MEANS TO TEMPORARILY DEACTIVATE THE
ALARM FOR A SINGLE OPENING. SUCH DEACTIVATION SHALL LAST
NO LONGER THAN 15 SECONDS. THE DEACTIVATION SWITCH SHALL BE
LOCATED AT LEAST 54 INCHES ABOVE THE THRESHOLD OF THE DOOR
2. A SAFETY NET OR COVER SHALL BE NSTALLED COMPLETELY COVERNG THE
SURFACE OF THE POOL AND /OR SPA THEREBY PREVENTING ACCESS TO THE
WATER. THE NET OR COVER SHALL BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ASTM FI346.
3. A CHILD SAFETY FENCE (KIDDIE FENCE) A MINIMUM OF 48 INCHES IN HEIGHT SHALL
SE INSTALLED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE POOL PREVENTING ACCESS TO THE
WATER FROM ALL DIRECTIONS. THE SAFETY FENCE SHALL SE PERMANENTLY INSTALLED
AT ONE END WHICH CAN ONLY BE REMOVED BY TOOLS.
4. A COMBINATION OF THE PERIMETER FENCE AND CHILD FENCE MAY BE USED TO
PREVENT ACCESS TO THE POOL PROVIDED THE CHILD FENCE 18 INSTALLED IN
COMPLIANCE WITH ITEM 3 ABOVE.

SWIMMING POOL WATER HEATING EQUIPMENT SHALL CCIfFORM TO THE DESIGN,
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS N ACCORDANCE WITH
ACCEPTED ENGNEERNG PRACTICES AND SHALL BEAR THE LABEL CF
RECOGNIZED TESTING AGENCY, AND SHALL NCLUDE A CONSIDERATION OF
COMBUSTION AIR, VENTING AND GAS SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS FOR WATER HEATERS
CONNECTIONS, ALL WATER HEATING EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH
FLANGES OR UNION CONNECTION ADJACENT TO THE HEATER PER F.B.C. R4101.14.4
I. ALL POOL ELECTRICAL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN COMPLIANCE
WITH FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
2. ALL ELECTRICAL GROUNDING AND BONDING SHALL CONFORM
WITH THE FLORIDA 1UILDNG CODE.
3. NO OVERHEAD WIRING SHALL BE LOCATED WITHIN 10'0"
OF POOL'S WATER EDGE.
4. SHOULD THE ELECTRICAL RISER DIAGRAM NOT ACCURATELY
DEPICT REQUIRED WORK, A REVISED DRAWING SHALL BE SUB-
MITTED AND APPROVED SHAOWMG EXPECTED AS BUILT CONFIGURATION
WITH ADDITCNAL SERVICE AND LOAD CALCULATIONS, IF NECESSARY.
5. ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT NOT SUITABLE FOR EXPOSURE TO THE
ELEMENTS SHALL BE ENCLOSED IN A WEATI-ERFROOF CONTAINER ALL PUMPS,
HEATERS, PIPING AND RELATED POOL EQUIPMENT SHOUN ON THESE PLANS ARE
SATISFACTORY FOR EXPOSURE TO THE ELEMENTS.
STRUCTURAL NOTES:
11. ALL POOL CONCRETE SHALL DEVELOP A MNIMUM 28 DAY
COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF 3000 PSI.
2. ALL REINFORCING STEEL SHALL HAVE A MNIMUM YIELD
STRENGTH OF 60,000 PSI.
3. ALL DECK CONCRETE LUMEN INSTALLED UNDER THESE
. PLANS) SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM 28 DAY COMPRESSIVE
STRENGTH CF 2500 PSI.
/ 4. THE DESIGN OF THIS PROJECT HAS INCORPORATED A
RATIONAL DESIGN APPROACH BASED ON ACCEPTED
ENGINEERING PRINCIPALS.
5. ALL REINFORCING SPLICES SHALL BE 1•" IN LENGTH UNLESS
OTHERWISE MEDICATED CN THESE PLANS.
SOIL NOTE:
BASED ON A VISUAL NSPECTION OF THE SITE,
SOIL CONDITIONS, ROCK AND SANDARE ADEQUATE
FOR THE DESIGN BEARING CAPACITY OF 2000 PSF.
HOWEVER, IF DURING EXCAVATION, CONDITIONS
OTHER THAN ABOVE ARE ENCOUNTERED, THE
ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED.
