1. Description:
This approves sectional door 16' -2" wide x 6' -6" thru 8' -0" high made out of steel,
drawing quality (ASTM A528) galvanized coating of G60 (ASTM A525) finished with
baked on polyester paint on both sides. The door shall be constructed and reinforced as
detailed in the approved drawing #101300 pages 1 thru 4.
Use:
This door is approved for a maximum design pressure of +46.6psf & - 52.0psf and its use
is restricted to this pressure. The door passed the impact & cyclic test, therefore it does
not require hurricane protection devices. The door shall meet the burglary security
requirement of Section 3603.2(c)2(aa) of the South Florida Building Code. The door
operating mechanism (not included in this approval) shall be certified by Underwriters
Laboratories or other recognized agency.
3. Installation:
The door shall be installed as shown on drawings #101300 pages 1 thru 4. \Vood in
contact with concrete or cement shall be treated with an approved preservative as set forth
in paragraph 2913.2(a) 1 or shall be of a durable species as defined in subparagraph
2913.2(a)6(aa) of the South Florida Building Code. Installation of 2" x 6" wood jamb
as shown on Page 4/4. Installation of track to 2" x 6" wood jamb requires a `i,,, x 1 S / 9 lag
screws not to exceed @ 14" o/c with a minimum embedment of 1'1:.

4. Conditions of Use;
Application for building permit shall be accompanied by duplicate prints of the approved
drawings #101300 pages 1 thru 4 bearing the approval stamp, Notice of Acceptance
number and date by the Dade. County Product Control Section along with computations
prepared by a qualified Florida Professional engineer or architect verifying the adequacy
of the door at each site. The shop drawings shall bear the signature of the architect or
engineer with the following statement: "The supporting structure has been designed
for the forces shown on the approved manufacturer's drawing."
Application for building permit for replacement doors shall be accompanied by duplicate
prints of the approved drawing #101300 pages 1 thru 4 bearing the approval stamp,
Notice of Acceptance number and date by the Dade County Product Control Section.
Also the Building Official must be satisfied that the propose installation meets the use
listed on Section 2 above.
5. Limitations:
This approval requires the manufacturer to do tensile testing of the finished embossed
steel panel doors, fabricated under this Notice of Acceptance. Every three (3) months,
four (4) times a year, after previously announcing this office of date, hour and location,
the manufacturer shall have a Dade County approved laboratory to cut and test according
to ASTM E 8 -93, two (2) samples randomly selected from doors fabricated under this
Notice of Accceptance located in Dade County. A copy of the test reports and a notarized
statement from the manufacturer confirming that samples were selected from doors
fabricated under this Notice of Acceptance shall be mailed to our office. If the specimens
fail to meet the minimum yield strength of 38,000 PSI, this Notice of Acceptance shall be
voided and the manfacturer cannot apply for this model of door for a period of one year.

the State of Florida.
Any revision or change in the materials, use, or manufacture of the product or process
shall automatically be cause for termination, unless prior approval is granted for
