The pool will be isolated from access from the home by an enclosure
that meets the pool barrier requirments of Florida Statute 515.29;
The pool will be equipped with an approved salty cover that
complies with ASTM F1346 -91;
All doors and windows providing direct access from the home to the
pool will be equiped with an exit alarm that has a minimum sound
pressure rating of 85 decibels at 10 feet;

POOL SAFETY DEVICES:
AS PER THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, THIS POOL AND /OR SPA SHALL BE
PROTECTED (AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE .FROM UNAUTHORIZED AQCCESS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
1. A PERIMETER FENCE SHALL BE LOCATED AROUND THE POOL UTILIZING .4 PART
OF THE HOUSE AS A BARRIER THIS METHOD, AT THE OU,NER'8 EXPENSE, SHALL REQUIRE
COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE 4242.11 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
ACCESS THROUGH THE BARRIER SHALL BE THROUGH SELF CLOSING, SELF
LATCHING GATES COMPLYING WITH THE ABOVE INDICATED ARTICLE.
IF .4 PART OF THE HOUSE 18 TO BE USED AS THE BARRIER ALL DOORS
AND WINDOWS WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO THE POOL SHALL BE EQUIPPED
WITH AN EXIT ALARM COMPLYING WITH UL 1011 CHAT HAS A MINIMUM
SOUND PRESSURE RATING OF 85 dB A AT 10 FEET AND I8 EITHER HARD
WIRED OR OF THE PLUG -IN TYPE. THE EXIT ALARM SHALL PRODUCE A
CONTINUOUS AUDIBLE WARNING WHEN THE DOOR AND ITS SCREEN ARE
OPENED. THE ALARM SHALL SOUND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DOOR 18
OPENED AND BE CAPABLE OF BEING HEARD THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE
DURING NORMAL HOUSEHOLD AcTIVitIES. THE ALARM SHALL BE
EQUIPPED WITH A MANUAL MEANS TO TEMPORARILY DEACTIVATE THE
ALARM FOR A SINGLE OPENING. SUCH DEACTIVATION SHALL LAST
NO LONGER THAN 15 SECONDS. THE DEACTIVATION SWITCH SHALL BE
LOCATED AT LEAST 54 INCHES ABOVE THE THRESHOLD OF THE DOOR
2. A SAFETY NET OR COVER SHALL BE INSTALLED COMPLETELY COVERING THE
SURFACE OF THE POOL AND /OR SPA THEREBY PREVENTING ACCESS TO THE
WATER HE NET OR COVER SHALL BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ASTM F1346 -9I.
3. A CHILD SAFETY FENCE (KIDDIE FENCE) A MINIMUM OF 40 INCHES IN HEIGHT SHALL
BE INSTALLED AROUND THE PERIMETER of THE POOL PREVENTING ACCESS TO THE
WATER FROM ALL DIRECTIONS. THE SAFETY FENCE SHALL BE PERMANENTLY INSTALLED
AT ONE END WHICH CAN ONLY BE REMOVED BY TOOLS.
4. A COMBINATION OF THE PERIMETER FENCE AND CHILD FENCE MAY BE USED tO
PREVENT ACCESS TO THE POOL PROVIDED TI-4E CHILD FENCE IS INSTALLED IN
COMPLIANCE WITH ITEM 3 ABOVE.
1 A PERMANENT SAFETY WARNING SIGN SHALL BE PROVIDED AT
ALL SWIMMING POOL AND SPA AREAS READILY VISIBLE FROM THE
POOL AREA IN ACCORDANCE WITH APENDIX F ANSI/NBPI -5 -95.
2. THE WARNING SIGN, AS PER ITEM I ABOVE, SHALL WARN AGAINST
SHALLOW WATER DIVING, 11-4E PREVENTION OF DROWNING AND SHALL
INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:
"THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTION FOR ADULT SUPERVISION OF SMALL
CHILDREN. IT 18 STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT AT LEAST ONE ADULT
RENDERING CHILD SUPERvISION BE TRAINED IN ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION
AND /OR CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPU)."
3. ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO THE POOL AREA
SHALL BEEQUIPPED WITH AN ALARM WHICH PRODUCES AN AUDIBLE
ALARM WHEN THE DOOR OR ITS SCREEN IS OPEN.
4. THE POOL AND /OR SPA SHALL NOT SE FILLED WITH WATER UNTIL A
SEPARATE PERMIT HAS BEEN OBTAINED FOR AN APPROVED SAFETY
BARRIER, INCLUDING A SPRING -LOCK SELF- CLOSING GATE.
