Dear Mr. O'Connor:
When the above drawing is used for installations on wood framed
construction, the following fastener substitution shall be used.
This installation is acceptable for heights above grade less
than or equal to 25 feet and for storm panel spans less than or
equal to.8' -6 ".
1. Top and bottom tracks shall be fastened as shown on the
above referenced drawings; however, 1/4" wood lag screws
shall be used with a minimum penetration into wood framing,
excluding plywood, of 3/4 ". Lag screws shall have standard
heads or be'threaded to accept a 1/4" machine nuts. Anchor
spacing shall be 12" on center.
