MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS 2.1. Main blade is 3.709" center to center, 4.186" wide x .050" thick, constructed as indicated on approved drawing No. 96 -19, Sheet 1 of 5, using extruded aluminum alloy 6063 -T6, which is also used for the adapter slat and the other components shall be constructed using extruded aluminum alloy 6063 -T6 unless otherwise noted on the same drawing. 2.2 Blade pins shall be #14 x 3" Machine Screws manufactured from 41.0 stainless steel with fluorocarbon coating and 0.050" thick stainless steel washer and a 1/2" diameter x 1.0" long Celcon bushings. 2.3 Tested specimen dimensions:: 47" wide x 123" long overall (120" Blade length) (1) specimen for Static Air Pressure. 48" wide x 123" long overall (120" Blade length) (3) specimens for Impact and Cyclic. 3. Renewals of Acceptance will not be considered if: a) There has been a change in the South Florida Building Code affecting the evaluation of this product and the product is not in compliance with the code changes; b) The product is no longer the same product (identical) as the one originally approved; c) If the Acceptance holder has not complied with all the requirements of this acceptance, including the correct installation of the product; d) The engineer who originally prepared, signed and sealed the required documentation initially submitted, is no longer practicing the engineering profession. 4. Any revision or change in the materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process shall automatically be cause for termination of this Acceptance, unless prior written approval has been requested (through the filing of a revision application with appropriate fee) and granted by this office. 5. Any of the following shall also be grounds for removal of this Acceptance: a) Unsatisfactory performance of this product or process; b) Misuse of this Acceptance as an endorsement of any product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes. 6. The Notice of Acceptance number preceded by the words Dade County, Florida, and followed by the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the Notice of Acceptance is displayed, then it shall be done in its entirety. 7. A copy of this Acceptance as well as approved drawings and other documents, where it applies, shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors and shall be available for inspection at the job site at all time. The copies need not be resealed by the engineer. B. Failure to comply with any section of this Acceptance shall be cause for termination and removal of Acceptance. 9. This Acceptance contains pages 1, 2, 2(a) through 2(c) and this Last page 3. items 10.11 & 12 listed below only apply to glazed products and doors 10. Unless specifically indicated in the Acceptance (approval), this unit is approved as a single unit installation. For multiple installation of this unit, a separate Acceptance for mullions is required from the Product Control Section. 11. The spacing of fasteners at window sills shall be as tested. The spacing of fasteners in all other parts of the frame, shall be as tested, but in no case shall exceed 24" on center. The first fastener shall be located at a maximum of 6" from each corner and mullion or stile. Fastener shall fully penetrate the buck, which shall be the same size as the one tested with the unit. No wood or plastic shields or pins shall be used for anchoring. See section four (4) of this approval for sizes of fasteners used in testing. 12. Hardware for all windows and doors shall conform to Security and Forced Entry Prevention, Chapter 36 of the South Florida Building Code.
