6. NO POOL OR PATIO SHALL BEAR ON ANY TYPE SOILS EXCEPT CLEAN
SANDS OR ROCK WHICH SHALL BE COMPACTED TO PROVIDE A SAFE
BEARING CAPACITY OF 1000 PSF. ANY ORGANICS, MARLS, OR
OTHER TYPES OF DELITERIOUS MATERIALS ENCOUNTERED ON
EXCAVATION SHALL BE REMOVED [DEMUCKEO) IN THEIR ENTIRETY,
AND THE AREA SHALL BE BACKFILLEO WITH ACCEPTABLE SOILS
AND COMPACTED IN 12 INCH THICK LAYERS. WHERE THE
CONTRACTOR CAN NOT REMOVE THE ORGANICS DUE TO
WHATEVER CAUSES, THE POOL SHALL BE REDESIGNED FOR
PILING.
7. IN ALL CASES THE POOL CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT EXISTING STRUCTURES FROM FAILURE
BY SHORING, UNDERPINNING OR ANY OTHER METHOD IF
REOUIRED. THE DESIGN ENGINEER ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY
FOR THE SAFETY OF EXISTING STRUCTURES.
6. THE DESIGN ENGINEER ASSUMES N0 RESPONSIBILITY FOR POOL
CONSTRUCTION IN EASEMENTS OR REQUIRED SETBACK AREAS.

MATERIALS AND SHALL BE PLACED IN 12" THICK LAYERS. EACH
