GENERAL PAVING CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. ALL CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND INSPECT ONS SHALL COMPLY WITH CURRENT STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF -
DADE COUNTY ENGINEERING DIVISION'S "MINIMUM STANDARDS" AND FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
WHERE APPLICABLE.
2. LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES ON THE PLANS ARE APPROXIMATE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE AND EXPOSE
PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION ALL EXISTING UTILITIES TO BE CONNECTED TO AND BRING TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ENGINEER
ANY DEVIATION FROM THAT AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS.
3. PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HOLD A PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING TO INCLUDE THE ENGINEER OF
RECORD, D.C.E.D. AND ANY OTHER UTILITIES AND /OR AGENCIES INVOLVED.

5. ALL UTILITIES AND DRAINAGE INSTALLATIONS UNDER THE PROPOSED PAVEMENT SHALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO COMMENCING
PAVEMENT SUB -GRADE CONSTRUCTION.
6. THE CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO HAVE INSPECTIONS MADE OF EACH OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS BY THE ENGINEER AND B.C.E.D.:
A) UTILITIES AND DRAINAGE
B) SUB -GRADE
C) LIMEROCK BASE
D) FINAL
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A CURRENT SET OF CONSTRUCTION PLANS ON THE JOB AT ALL TIMES.
8. STABILIZED SUB -GRADE (MINIMUM LBR 40) SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 100% MAXIMUM DENSITY AS DETERMINED BY AASHTO 1 -99C.
9. LIME ROCK BASE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH F.D.O.T. SECTION 200, PRIME AND TACK COATS SECTION 300.
10. ASPHALTIC CONCRETE PAVEMENT SHALL BE S -111 IN ACCORDANCE WITH F.D.O.T. SECTION 331.
DADE COUNTY ENGINEERING DIVISION NOTES
1. PERMIT SET MUST BE ON SITE AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION.
2. ALL MATERIALS USED AND INSTALLATIONS MADE WITHIN THE PUBLIC -RIGHT -OF WAY OR EASEMENTS SHALL BE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE BROWARD COUNTY ENGINEERING DIVISION "MINIMUM STANDARDS"
3. NOTICE OF INSPECTIONS IS REQUIRED. 24 HRS. PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY WORK WITHIN THE RIGHT -OF -WAY,
CONTACT THE DADE CONTY ENGINEERING DIVISION AT (954) 357 -6233 FOR INSPECTIONS.
4. APPROVAL OF THIS PLAN DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PERMIT FOR CONSTRUCTION. A PERMIT FOR CONSTRUCTION
MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE DADE COUNTY ENGINEERING DIVISION PRIOR TO THE COMMENCING CONSTRUCT-
ION IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY.
5. IF LOCALLY PERMITTED, THE GOVERNING MUN'ICIPALLITY MAY TAKE JURISDICTION FOR INSPECTIONS THAT SHALL
