Hewett, Territory :'Tanager, Southern Division, Lennox Induatrie:n, Inc. He was called to investigate a noise complaint caused by a Lennox A/C which has been installed by your firm. Mr. Hewett notified Tae of his inteixled inspection and I met him at the site. It was indicated by use of a decibel meter that the complaint was justifiable in that a decibel reading of 68 to 74 was determined at distances exceeding 25 feet from the unit. Although our ordinance does not pin point decibels, it is stand — Nr d to have less tran 50 P.D. at 25 from the unit and a reading of 40 D.B. inside of buildings. The suggestion by Mr. Hewett to locate the unit at the North side of the building at the North West corner of the garage and providing an asphalt impregnated sound baffel in the fence to the west of this location appears to be the most fees — able uolution. Since you had agreed to install the A/C unit so as not to cause Any objectionable noise to the neighbors and would abide by any recommendation by Mr. Hewett, I am therefore assum— ing that this recommendation will be followed.
