Significance:
Structure is in an area of Miami. Shores developed during the 1930s and
1940s where frame construction and Southern Colonial and classical
design predominates. Home is built of native Dade County pine and frame
construction cannot be duplicated under present building codes which
prohibit frame construction. Residence is situated on rear of large
lot surrounded by a number of large live oak trees. Noteworthy features
include a two -story entry verandah with square columns and formal
entry door with multiple light transom and sidelights. The home
is a designated Miami Shores landmark. The present owners, Mr. and
Mrs. Dean. Miller, are active community leaders.

Physical Description:
Structure is a two -story Southern Colonial Revival home located deep on
a large lot surrounded by many large live oak trees. The front (N) has
'a two- story.entry verandah fronting the entire facade. Six
wood columns support a shed roof. Windows are DHS with shutters.
There are three dormer windows on the N slope. The entry door has
divided light rectangular transom and sidelights. 2nd story over
entry has full - length door with balcony. Garage is to the SW of
main house; double arched wood bay doors. A cross -beam fence fronts
entire property.
