jamb. The vent supported by a slide bar hinge system located at the head
and sill. A metal vent guide located at midspan of the left jamb. An
extruded aluminum mounting fin with drip cap located at the head., A
rigid vinyl mounting! fin located at each jamb. A combination rigid
vinyl /flexible vinyl; mounting fin located at the sill. The exterior
extruded aluminum frame of double screw ( #8ix 1 1/4" flat head) mitered
corner construction.: The interior wood frame of double staple ( 1 1/2"
long) butt - type corner construction. The vent of glued mortised and
tenon corner construction with two (2) ( #8 x 2 3/4" flat head) screws at
each corner. The frame fin mounted to the test buck using twenty -six
(26) 1 1/2" galvanized roofing nails.
GLAZING• The vent channel glazed using sJled double insulating glass
with a silicone and flexible vinyl glazing Dead. The overall insulating
glass thickness is 5/8" consisting of two lites of double strength
annealed glass and one air space created by a desiccant - filled aluminum
spacer system.
