under Chapter 3 of the South Florida Building Code governing the use of Alternate Materials and
Types of Construction, and completely described in the plans, specifications and calculations as submitted
by:
calculations by Angelo J. G. Tibery, P.E. (33 pages) dated 06/01/94 and various other
revisions along with design drawing numbers 1, 2, 3.4, 4.4, 5.4, 6.4, 7.4, 3.4, 9.4 & 10.4
dated 06/01/94 by A.J.G. Tibery, P.E.
has been recommended for acceptance by the Building Code Compliance office to be used in Dade
County, Florida under the specific conditions set forth on pages 2 et. seq. and the Standard Conditions
onpage3.
This approval shall be valid for a period of three years. The Office of Code Compliance reserves
the right to secure this product or material at anytime from a jobsite or manufacturer's plant for quality
control testing. If this product or material fails to perform in the approved manner, the Code Compliance
Department may revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or material immediately. The Building
Code Compliance Department reserves the right to require retesting of this product or material should any
amendments to the South Florida Building Code be enacted affecting this product or material.
The expense of such testing will be incurred by the manufacturer.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE: SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
1 This approves steel canopy frames in accordance with Chapter 43 of the South Florida
Building Code.
2. Attachment to buildings shall be to a bearing wall or a portion of the building specifically
designed to support the awning frame. The permit holder shall verify that the wall of the
existing structure is capable of sustaining the loads transferred by the awning frame.
3. Foundations and attachment shall be shown on referenced drawings.
4. Application for building permit shall be accompanied by duplicate prints of the following:
a) Referenced product approval drawings.
b) Site adaptation drawing showing actual field conditions, including actual
attachment condition.
c) Detailed plot plan.
NOTE: Drawing b) above shall bear the signature and impressed seal of a Florida
registered engineer.
5. In order to secure a building permit all zoning requirements must be met.
6. A label, bearing the manufacturer's name and logo shall be affixed to each installation
along with a notice to remove all canvas when wind reaches whole gale force (75 m.p.h .).
In lieu of removal, canvas may be attached in such a manner that it will release from the
frame with a wind load of 10 p.s.f.
7 This renewal supersedes Notice of Acceptance 490 -01 19.01 dated May 14, 1990.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE: STANDARD CONDITIONS
1. Extension of Acceptance may be considered after a new application has been Flied and the
.supporting data, test report no older than ten (10) years, have been re- evaluated.
All reports of re- testing shall bear the seal, signature and date of an engineer registered in the
State of Florida.
Any revision or change in the materials, use, or manufacture of the product or process shall
automatically be cause for termination, unless prior approval is granted for revisions or change.
3. Any unsatisfactory performance of this product or process or a change in Code provisions shall be
grounds for re- evaluation.
4. This acceptance shall not be used as an endorsement of any product for sales or advertising
purposes.
5 The Notice of Acceptance number preceded by the words Dade County, Florida, and followed
by the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the Notice of
Acceptance is displayed, then it shall be done in its entirety.
6. A copy of this approval as Weil as approved draw ins arid other documents, where it applies, shall
be provided to the applicant by the manufacturer or his distributors and shall be available for
inspection at the job site at all time. The prints need not be re- sealed by the engineer.
7. Failure to compiv with Standard Conditions shall be cause for termination of Approval.
