It was purchased by Hansford Tyler in 1926. Mr. Tyler was a vice presi- dent of the Hill Motor Car Company. Mrs. Tyler wrote a. book on local history, This, Too; Can Happen in Miami, published in 1956. The home remains in the Tyler family today. Noteworthy features include a large arched window on the front projecting mass (S) and an open bay porch along the front of the W mass.. The builder, James Markley, built several prominent Miami Shores structures in the 1920s and 1930s. It is in scale and character with the surrounding neighborhood.
