Second Avenue Miami Shores, Florida 33138 Dear Members of the Zoning Board, April 5, 1988 In August of 1987, we purchased the property located at 145 N.E. 95 Street, Miami Shores, Florida, 33138. Prior to the pruchase of our home, we visited Village Hall to determine the nature of the plans for the renovation of the Medical Building and parking lot bordering our property. We were informed, at that time, that the plans included the construction of a five foot masonry wall on or near the line between our yard and the parking lot. It has come to our attention that the owners of the Medical Building now wish to avoid construction of this wall. We believe it would benefit all parties concerned if this wall were built. Our reasons are as follows: 1. The pavement of the parking lot is quite close or on the property line between the lot and our yard. The results of a survey performed by Mr. Al Toussaint will be available on April 8, 1988 to determine the exact distance between the above mentioned lines. It is our understanding that property improvements must be eight feet from the property line. Construction of the wall would prevent problems from arising due to the short distance between the property line and the pavement. 2. Upon our occupation of our home in May, 1988, our plans include removal of the row of ficus trees and hedge, thus opening our back yard to the extent of the property which we purchased. 3. Should the wall be built, we plan to erect a fence abutting the wall on both the 95th street and alley sides of the property. This fence, in conjunction with the wall would provide added security to our family and the patrons of the parking lot. Thank you for your consideration of this information.
