Remove spalled concrete from all of the areas described on face of contract by
air hammer chipping sufficiently to expose the outer reinforcing steel that has
caused the spalling. This steel will then be sandblasted clean of all rust and
scale and wherever any steel has lost 25°6 or more of its original diameter new
steel rebars will he spliced in. Replace all removed masonry with gunite.
The gunite will be composed of 3 parts screenings and thoroughly premixed with
one part Portland cement and shot into place with a minimum air pressure of 75
p•s•i•
If at any time it becomes necessary to employ an engineer, architect, or testing
lab, the owner agrees to pay for this services.
We are fully licensed and insured over minimums required by law and all of our
work will be subject to inspection and acceptance by your engineer.
This type of work involves sandblasting, which creates a lot of dust that may
seep up into floor cracks. Snapp Industries, Lac. is not responsible for cleaning
up said dust.
