Date of Test: 7/28/95 Test Site Address: 58 NE 92 Street Miami Shores, FL Client: Say Realty Miami Shores Process No. 37455 (Per Ray Cuervo) Owner: National Mortgage (Per Say Realty) Witnessed by: Ray Cuervo Richard Sembello III - Construction Research Laboratory Brief Description of Roof Tile Installation Spanish S roof tiles installed with mortar on a single family residence with an average roof height above grade of 13 feet. The overall area of the roof was about 3000 square feet. Refer to attached sketch. Test Conditions and Results The roof tile system was examined for loose components. 175 field area tiles (more than 5 %) and 90 perimeter and corner area tiles (more than 10 %) were examined. No loose tiles were found. A concentrated load of 35 lbf held for five seconds was applied to the nose of each of 28 field area tiles, 15 perimeter area tiles and 12 corner area tiles selected at random by this laboratory. No measurable movement of any of these load -cell- tested tiles occurred. Refer to attached sketch for locations of the tested tiles. The client indicated that the tile installation was completed 30 days or more before this testing. Summary No measurable movement of the tiles occurred.
