I (We) acknowledge th ew swimming pool, spa or hot tub will be constructed or

the following methods will be used to meet the requirements of Chapter 515, Florida
Statutes.

pressure rating of 85 decibels at 10 feet;
All doors providing direct access from the home to the pool will be
equipped with self - closing, self - latching devices with release
mechanisms placed no lower than 54" above the floor or deck;

OF THE HOUSE AS A BARRIER THIS METHOD, A THE OWNER'S. EXPENSE, SHALL REQUIRE
COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE 4242.11 OF HE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
ACCESS THROUGH THE BARRIER SHAL BE THROUGH SELF CLOSING, SELF
LATCHING GATES COMPLYING WITH THE ABOVE INDICATED ARTICLE.
IF A PART OF THE HOUSE IS TO BE USED AS THE BARRIER, ALL DOORS
AND WINDOWS WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO THE POOL SHALL BE EQUIPPED
WITH AN EXIT ALARM COMPLYING WITH JL 2011 THAT HAS A MINIMUM
SOUND PRESSURE RATING OF 85 dB A T 10 FEET AND IS EITHER HARD
WIRED OR OF THE PLUG -IN TYPE. THE 0 ALARM SHALL PRODUCE A
CONTINUOUS AUDIBLE WARNING WHEN THE DOOR AND ITS SCREEN ARE
OPENED. THE ALARM SHALL SOUND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DOOR IS
OPENED AND BE CAPABLE OF BEING EARD THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE
DURING NORMAL HOUSEHOLD ACTIVITI S. THE ALARM SHALL BE
EQUIPPED WITH A MANUAL MEANS TO T MPORARILY DEACTIVATE THE
ALARM FOR A SINGLE OPENING. SUCH - ACTIVATION SHALL LAST

3. A CHILD SAFETY FENCE (KIDDIE FENCE) A M IMUM OF 48 INCHES IN HEIGHT SHALL
BE INSTALLED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF TI-4 POOL PREVENTING ACCESS TO THE
WATER FROM ALL DIRECTIONS. THE SAFETY FE CE SHALL SE PERMANENTLY INSTALLED
At ONE END WHICH CAN ONLY BE REMOVED B TOOLS.
4. A COMBINATION OF THE PERIMETER FENCE D CHILD FENCE MAY BE USED TO
PREVENT ACCESS TO THE POOL PROVIDED TI- CHILD FENCE IS INSTALLED IN
COMPLIANCE WITH ITEM 3 ABOVE.
SAFETY NOTES:
1. A PERMANENT SAFETY WARNING SIGN ALL BE PROVIDED AT
ALL SWIMMING POOL AND SPA AREAS ADILY VISIBLE FROM THE
POOL AREA IN ACCORDANCE WITH APE DIX F ANSI/NSPI -5 -95.
2. THE WARNING SIGN, AS PER ITEM 1 A VE, SHALL WARN AGAINST
SHALLOW WATER DIVING, THE PREVENT' OF DROWNING AND SHALL
INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:
"THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTION FOR ADULT PERVIS(ON OF SMALL
CHILDREN. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMEND D THAT AT LEAST ONE ADULT
RENDERING CHILD SUPERVISION BE TRAINED IN ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION
AND /OR CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPU)."
