This approves steel canopy frames in accordance with Chapter 43 of the South Florida Building Code. 2. Attachment to buildings shall be to a bearing wall or a portion of the building specifically designed to support the awning frame. The permit holder shall verify that the wall of the existing structure is capable of sustaining the loads transferred by the awning frame. 3. Foundations and attachment shall be as shown on referenced drawings. 4. Application for building permit shall be accompanied by duplicate prints of the following: a) Referenced product approval drawings b) Site adaptation drawing showing actual field conditions, including actual attachment condition. c) Detailed plot plan NOTE: Drawings a) and b) above shall bear the signature and impressed seal of Florida registered engineer. 5. In order to secure a building permit all zoning requirements must be met. G. A label, bearing the manufacturer's name and logo shall be affixed to each installation along with a notice to remove all canvas when wind reaches whole gale force (75 m.p.h.). In lieu of removal, canvas may be attached fn such a manner that it will release from the frame with a wind load of 10 p.s.f. 7. NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE: STANDARD CONDITIONS • 1.. Ex tension of Acceptance may be considered after a new application has been filed and the supporting data, test report no older than ten (10) years, have been re- evaluated. All reports of re- testing shall bear the seal, signature and date of an engineer registered in the State of Florida. v, Any revision or change in the materials, use, or manufacture of the product or process shall automatically be cause for termination, unless prior approval is granted for revisions or change. 3. Any unsatisfactory performance of this product or process or a change in Code provisions shall be grounds for re- evaluation. 4. This acceptance shall not be used as art endorsement of any product for sales or advertising purposes. ' 5. The Notice of Acceptance number preceded by the words Dade County, Florida, and followed by the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the Notice of' Acceptance is displayed, then.it shall be done in its entirety. 6. A copy of this approval as well as approved drawings and other documents, where it applies, shall be provided to the applicant by the manufacturer or his distributors and shall be available for inspection at the job site at all time. The prints need not be re- sealed by the engineer. 7 Failure to comply with Standard Conditions shall be cause for termination of Approval.
