The south side of the existing concrete patio is 2.57 feet from the property line. By allowing this deviation the beauty of the area will be enhanced by erection of a well built enclosure to replace a unsightly pine tree hedge and fense. Due to the fact that the pool is not enclosed by screening it is very difficult to maintain and creates a potential health problem. Also, it is safer for children and pets to have a pool screened in as opposed to being fenced in. It would be difficult to erect the enclosure under the present Boning restrictions because the pool pump, strainer and valves are located in a subsurface area starting approximately one foot from the south edge of the concrete patio. Due to this, it would be hard to gain access to this area for repairs and maintenance. Therefore, your favorable consideration is requested to the attached building permit. Attached is consent of two adjoining property owners to the erection of the enclosure. I have been unable to contact the third property owner.
