The architects, Kiehnel $ Elliott, designed many significant 1920s Dade County structures and were one of the firms which set the Mediterranean theme for the original Miami Shores development. Noteworthy features include the use of cast masonry detailing; half- timber detailing on S facade, and use of multiple window shapes. The home was partially restored using a combination of historic and modern materials in 1983. The home is one of the structures built for the Shoreland Company as part of its original development and is a designated Miami Shores landmark. 911 ==
