Please be advised that this office prepared the foundation plan for the residence that was constructed on the above referenced property in 1951. These plans indicated that a 6" concrete slab was to span the car porte floor and also to be supported by the grade beam on the East and West side. It has now come to our attention in the remodeling of this res- idence by the present owner that the car porte slab was not con- structed in this manner originally but was a 4" slab on fill. Accordingly, it is our opinion that the proposal to span this 12' with concrete joists bearing on the existing grade beams and carrying a 22" slab of Stel -Tex will be structurally adequate.
