The purpose of our investigation was to obtain factual subsoil data for the property relative to foundation design of the proposed addition. A total of two (2) hand auger borings were performed to an average depth of 8' below`wxisting ground surface. Water table elevation was encountered at a depth of 4' below existing ground surface. The above foundation recommendations being achieved and verified by our geotechnical engineer; we feel that the referenced structure be designed for a shallow foundation system with a permissible soil bearing pressure not to exceed 2000 P.S.F. Residential buildings undergoing renovations costing more than 30% of the assessed value of the building must comply with the Energy Code using this form.
