On site inspection when ground was broken for isolated reinforced concrete footings we noted the bearing capacity of the soil in more than 2500 psf and futhermore the footings was widened order by myself to avoid the use of said tie- cols,because it will weakened the existing bearing walls. The use of tie -cols will leave temporary open- ings at walls and I feel that the use of these tie -cols will not contribute to tie the existing walls in this particular of this tion of the structure will remain case and are not necessary ;. support the superimposed load and the stability the same. Its most salient feature is the projecting entryway with a highly- decorated curvilinearinrapet .French doors lead to the front terrace, the doors separated by twisted columns of the Corinthian order. A second floor balcony on the N facade has timber posts and railing. Second -story windows have decorative masonry trim.
