FORMULA AND CHART FOR POOL BOTT. SLAB W/ HYDROSTATIC UPLIFT
GENERAL NOTES:
I. For plan layout, deck dimensions, plot plan, schedules, pool location,
and special details see Sheet no.2
2. All swimming pools shall bear on rock or undisturbed sand. All walls
and floors shall be qunited or poured conc. Concrete sholl hove a
compressive strength of 3,000 psi min.m' 28 days.
3. All reinforcing steel shall be intermediate grade steel conforming t0
A.S.T. M. A Steel shall be bent,tapped and placed in accordance
with the A.C.I. standards and specifications.
4. All pool piping shall be P.V.C. Sched.40 and bear the N.S,F. of bpprovot.
5. Backwash shall be to an under pool sump of 100 sq.ft. min, area of washed -
drain rock, !own irrigation, waterway, etc, in accordance with local ordenonce.
6. Disposal of pool water shall conform to Sec.5004 of the S.FB.C. Surface
grading shall confine ponding of pool water to within lot lines and
such ponding shall no'1 persist for more than 1 hr.after discharge.
7. Grote of Main Dram shall have o free area four Mmes the area of the
suction line.
8. Water supply and disposal shall be installed in o way so that there i5 no
cross connection with a domestic water supply or water disposal system.
9. Hair and lint strainer shall hove removable screen with a free oreo 3
Mmes the area of the suction line.
10. Cartridge filter sholl hove a filtration rate not to exceed 3 G.PM• per
sq.ft. of filter area. No backwash required.
H. All metallic conduit, piping system, reinforcing steel, lighting
fixtures and fixture housing, metal parts of tadders diving boards and
their supports shall be bonded together and grounded to a common
ground. The bonding conductor shall not be.smaller than #/ copper.
12. No open wiring over pool water.
