The structural evaluation of the Paraclipse 9 -foot and
12 -foot antennas using wind and water loading was conducted
through the week of August 15, 1983. The testing procedure

The wind speed was adjusted during the test from 40 mph to
a speed in excess of 95 mph.
Water was then added to the air stream at a maximum rate of
337 gallons per minute, simulating hurricane conditions.
Also, the adding of water to the air stream increased the
effective wind loading on the antenna to approximately 140 mph
winds.
