Consulting Engineer REF: 1100 N.E. 91st Terrace Miami Shores Village, Florida On Tuesday, July 24, 1990 I inspected the above premises roof for replacement. The existing roof cover is composition shingles with a row of tile over the ridge and hips. A replacement roof cover has become necessary. As per advised me that a replacement roof cover would have to Shores Village codes, unless a waiver was granted. The existing wood roof truss and sheathed wood are support the additional weight of a tile roof cover. We respectfully request a waiver of the tile roof cover requirement and be allowed to install a composition shingle roof with tile on the ridge and hips in accordance with the South Florida Building Code.
