.Given the status of the Project at this point in time and
the reality that the date of substantial completion has not
been met - precluding the use of this facility as the Owner
had intended i.e. housing for the University's Students - a
preliminary list of defficiencies and /or imcompleted items
has been prepared to assit you in the completion of this
project. By this action it is hereby understood that your
responsibilities outlined in Article 9.8.1. of the General
Conditions and Section 01705 are still subject to your
compliance and have neither been assumed by the Owner nor
deleted from your Contract. Corrective action or completion

Report on job site visit of June 12, 1987
1.0 Masonry wall reinforcement as indicated on Drawing S7, General Note #6, missing
on all ground floor walls. Contractor was instructed to provide and install
on all stucco surface openings and /or corners fiber mesh stucco reinforcement
a minimum of 8 inches from the edge or corner and /or opening wrapping same on
both sides of corner. At Contractor's option, entire wall may be covered with
mesh to avoid labor in cutting desired strips. Structural Engineer of Record
assures this deletion will not represent a structural problem. However, the
deletion will invariably result in unacceptable cracking of stucco surfaces.
Contractor is advised to make sure specified reinforcement is installed in
accordance with Contract Documents on the second floor.
2.0 On the North Stair wall, east stair, first vertical rebar on the lowest section
was missing. Contractor instructed to provide same in accordance with
plans. Other locations found acceptable.
