Upcoming events include Tree Lighting, Santa's Express, Boat Parade and the Heidi Hewes

It was noted that there will be a National Golf Foundation meeting at the 9900 Building on
December loth to make a presentation on the vision of the golf course. It was related that
South Florida Water Mangagement wants to redo the pump station on the golf course, which
will impact the size of the golf course. Ms. Thompson encouraged all of the Committee
members to attend this meeting.
It was noted that the Miami Shores Chamber's Sip, Shop and Celebrate is scheduled for
December 13th. There will be vendor booths, food trucks as well as Paws & Claus to take
photos of dogs and cats with Santa.
At this time future events at the Aquatic Center were discussed. Wild Waters will open the last

finally, there will be a movie at the pool (Moana 2) before Summer begins.
Discussion turned to the Parks Master Plan update. Ms. Dorney noted that a survey is being
developed; a 5-year program history has also been sent to the consultants. It was noted that

most requested items from the Parks Master Plan meetings was interest in trails and coffee
shops.
It was noted that the Miami Shores Country Club board does not have a financial advisor
amongst the current members. Ms. Thompson added that money has never been reinvested
into the MS Country Club.
