APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Motion made/passed unanimously approving minutes of 2/25/25 (DG/DL).
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Patrick Devaney —12og NE ggth St. introduced himself as a candidate forthe Village of Miami Shores and will make a public
records request to Delroy Peters, PWD for 2oi6 Traffic Calming Study and Minutes Summary.
Rebecca Leonard - Why doesn't the Village have Speed Enforcement Cameras? Why the lack of a police presence? Police
need to be more visible like El Portal and Biscayne Park. Neighboring communities' people are afraid to speed.

6.a Draft Report Evaluation of 2016 Traffic Study to Council at April 15 meeting. DEFERRED
6.b Update Chief Golt, MSPD regarding installation of cameras to monitortraffic at Miami Shores Elementary School
Zone. DEFERRED
Status Vendor Selection Speed Enforcement Cameras School Zones. According to Sept. 1.2, 2023, minutes by
Miami Shores Village Police Chief regarding:
"New law allowing speed enforcement by a camera in school zones, during school hours. Miami Shores working to
identify a vendor who would be used for this purpose. The vendor would install and service the cameras as well as
monitor traffic. Any violations captured would be sent to a Miami Shores Police Department staff member, who would
then validate the accuracy of the citations and send approval back to the company to issue the tickets. "
Motion made/passed unanimously requesting Chief Galt and/or representative MSPD attend May 13, 2025,
Ad -Hoc Traffic Committee meeting and be prepared to discuss speed enforcement cameras and/or traffic
monitoring devices in school zones or other areas of the Village (DS/DL).
6.0 Update from Public Works on speed table installation. Installation of Speed Tables on 1.04th Street should be done
after proposed roadwork on 104th Street East of Biscayne Blvd. is completed. Start date roadwork project TBD.
BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
David Stein: Mr. Peters, PWD contact Chairperson Tim Crutchfield and request copy of draft report to Council for
distribution to members prior to May 23, 2025, meeting.
Dennis Leyva: Mr. Peters, PWD contact residents 204th Street that attended last meeting (Carmen Renick, Sal
Ganem, Laura Albuga) and advise Village not sending surveys, TBD when Speed Tables are installed, and there is
road work project being designed for 104th Street East of Biscayne Blvd.
Deepak Ganju also requested 104th St. residents are contacted.
NEXT COMMITTEE MEETING — Due to Village elections April 8 meeting cancelled. Next meeting Tuesday, May 13,
2025.
