Medina Meeting called to order at 5:33 pm January 29t" Meeting Minutes were approved. A. Pozzi — Handed out 2 articles from the U.S.G.A. written by Todd Lowe, the agronomist that we hired to consult on the golf course. One article was "Is It Time For A Facelift" and the other was "Off -Types in Ultradwarf Putting Greens." These articles provide good information and background to the issues that we are facing New Business: VIN261=1 ® You should see a slight improvement in the greens ® We will be sodding areas on #3, #6 and #9 green surrounds • Text week we will tee off #10 while we are doing maintenance on the front 9 S. Maroon — What about the side areas? A. Pozzi - They continue to improve and will be addressed as soon as we complete the installation of new sod ® The resodded areas will be roped off and will be marked ground under repair, please bear with us as it will be disruptive until the sod is established ® The smaller areas will recover on their own Public Comment: V. Medina — Concerned about the new fakes that would be build on the course near her house B. Griffith — The lakes do have to be installed to help with drainage D. Mclntosch — What is the difference in Request for Quote and Request for Qualifications? B. Griffith — ® The request for qualifications is what went out so qualified people will respond • One R.F.Q. went out for the Clubhouse, and a separate one went out got the golf course, they will be open for 30 days, those that are interested will show their qualifications D. Mclntosch —where is the RFQ posted? B. Griffith — ® There is a site that is posted on • After 30 days, there will be another 15 days of the Village Manager meeting with the qualified candidates and after the 15 days the Village Manager suggests the best candidate to the Council than after that another RFQ will go out for contractors ® Handed out a timeline from Dunedin Golf Course and we are ahead of their timeline ® We are 390 days aways from hopefully breaking ground • The N.G.F. report will be attached to the RFQ S. Soriero —Anything going on with S.F.W.M.D. B. Griffith — Residents do not know about the structure that S.F.W.M.D. wants to put in A. Pozzi — S.F.W.M.D. plans call for the installation of a forward pump station with dimensions of 100' x 200' and 40' tall which will take approximately 3 to 4 acres from the golf course B. Griffith — ® Residents need to know what S.F.W.M.D. is planning ® The Mayor and the Village Manager are steadfast against putting the pump station on the golf course ® S.F.W.M.D. has not met any of the timelines ® Who knows what will happen with FEMA • We are proceeding with the plans without S.F.W.M.D. • The revenue bond will not cost the residents anything, it will be paid from operating cash flow B. Griffith — RFQ for a new management company will go out soon R. Zimmerman — Not a golfer but interested in the restaurant and clubhouse 6 B. Griffith — We need to find something that will attract non golfers, and we appreciate you wanting to help in the planning stages M.S.G.O. Griffith — Residents are asking about the recreation center? This will not affect the recreation center at all and will not take any taxpayer money S. Maroon — West Palm Beach Club is owned by the City, and it was recently renovated, now it is very expensive to get a tee time there. If you play before gam you need to have a caddy and if you play before 12 you must walk, and it is $248 per person to play M. Lewis — t I am in the restaurant industry and do not know anything about golf f Offering help ® Should get a restaurant person involved B. Griffith —Get residents excited, the process is confusing S. Soriero — Want to make the club member centric, who makes that decision B. Griffith — That comes after ® You need to develop a master plan reflecting what features and amenities are important to members and the community at large ® You are starting with a blank canvas, a location on Biscayne Boulevard with plenty of parking which will offer a lot of opportunities once renovated D. Mclntosch — Should open collaboration with the architect and P.C.M. and the Advisory Board K. King — Need to get the members involved D. Mclntosch — ® There will be a fight to see if the building should be kept historic or not ® Should come up with a plan by April 1, then you will be ready to talk to the architects B.
