Pozzi — ® We have closed membership for the current year ® There are 9 members on the waiting list for next year that did not get in for this year ® 14% of the membership did not renew, of the non -renewals we only received 1 complaint due to their inability to get early weekend tee times, the others resigned for a variety of reasons such as relocation, health, changes in family situation or financial S. Maroon — Why limit membership? A. Pozzi - We limit the number of full members to 230 to ensure a reasonable availability of tee times for members during times of peak demand K. King — Is the maximum number of memberships the same for Normandy and Miami Beach? A. Pozzi — ® The number for Normandy members is limited to 175 and Miami Beach's max number is 225 ® We had a very poor month of October, weather negatively impacted rounds ® All departments across the board were down ® We were down 400 rounds of golf at Miami Shores ..# CEO "k4i ✓/'l.lfU//Lf. eYYf.C1.EJ IJ (^ffllLL l'G W Update: B. Griffith — ® For the benefit of the new Advisory Board Members and our Guests I would like to offer a brief recap... ® The clubhouse and golf course have not been completely renovated in at least 60 years and the facility shows it. Back in March of 2024 the Village hired the National Golf Foundation to do an assessment of current conditions, make recommendations regarding needed improvements, prepare a financial proforma, explore financing options and make recommendations regarding future operating formats ® We did a tour of the clubhouse and went down in the basement (it was ugly) ® For the most part there are no light switches in the clubhouse, breakers are used ® Private clubs redo their greens every 6 to 8 years ® 9 of 10 local golf courses have been or are in the process of being redone ® The report was expected for June or July but was delayed because of South Florida Water Management. They need several acres to install a forward pump station, a project that will take 2 to 3 years to build ® S.F. Water Management does not have an exact timeline for this project ® Village Manager was directed by council to move forward with the design from the National Golf Foundation, their report and recommendations for the golf course renovation and not wait for South Florida Water Management Mayor Burch — ® P.C.M. contract is up in 1 year, we are on a very tight timeline ® Mr. Griffith found an alternative location for the pump structure, so we need to convince South Florida Water Management to look at it and we need to convince North Miami to accept this structure ® Currently we have a salinity damn for salt water and fresh water, we do not have a pump station ® South Florida Water Management has power of eminent domain ® We do not have several acres to give them ® The residents must help to convince North Miami to take the structure, or we may not be able to have a golf course B. Griffith — ® The proposed course layout has new lakes ® The Village has decided to move ahead with the plan without South Florida Water Management ® The N.G.F. delivered its draft report to the Village • The report includes a new layout for the golf course and 3 options for the clubhouse ® Last night the Village_ Manager_ askedtheAdvisory board to review the -plans -and -have -a joint- --- meeting with the Council ® They projected revenue streams to be more than ample to take out a revenue bond ® This will not affect the plan to redo the recreation center M.S.C.C. OPERATED BY Mayor Burch — If the golf course and clubhouse are renovated it will not affect the recreation center that has to go the residents for a vote S. Thompson — We should as Village Council Boards support each other, we should be on the same page K. King —We as a board must control the rumor mill S. Maroon —The City has not put any money into the clubhouse since 1989 K. King — As a committee we should all read through the draft B. Griffith — We need to have a special meeting to go over the draft before we have the meeting with the Village R.Strickland — • Will contact the Village clerk to see how much notice we need to have to post it as a public meeting, once ihave confirmation | will send the board anemail. • The next meeting is scheduled for November 27 P.
