A total budget for the reception of $500 was suggested, with a $300 donation from 50 State Technologies and $200 from the Commission’s budget. Mr. Bruce said it would be a good idea for the Commission to be visible in the community during the event. Ms. Dorney reminded the Commission that this is a ‘green’ event. She noted that one idea would be to sponsor an organization who cannot afford a booth such as Pelican Harbor. Ms. Hersh volunteered to contact Kenerly Wright from Kid Create about creating an activity for Green Day; it was noted that the budget would be up to $300. Ms. Ackley noted that Memorial Day is May 29th and community organizations donate books, selected by the library, which are presented during the Memorial Day ceremony.
