5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
World Art Deco-Day Sunday, April 28th, 2024. Spoke about the event as well as
additional details.
Forum at the Library, which will be part of all the celebrations for the month of May.
Chair Ms. Bonaduce asked to have it saved on the record.
Mr. David stated that the planning department was able to find a planning director and

will be around to help during the transition.

6.A. Certificate of Appropriateness
Owner: Matthew Aulton

Request: New Windows to the front facade and various other areas of
the house.

Mr. Aulton spoke at the podium. Mr. Saadeh asked are the windows
multi-plane or single plane? Mr. Saadeh asked about specifics on the
window trims and wants to know if they will be changed to sliders and is
the glass going to be a grid. Mr. Saadeh asked to show the pictures of
the windows and is the sliders going to be the same.
Chair Ms. Bonaduce asked to restore the house as it originally looked
and to take off the hurricane shutters. Mr. Saadeh asked for
clarifications of the windows and the proposal for the front window? Mr.
Aulton stated it would be three half-moons and a slider. Also, it would
look nice on the façade. Mr. Saadeh stated that the windows does not
resemble a 1920s house.
Ms. Rodriguez spoke on the mic and clarified that the members would
have to be present to have quorum however they are still allowed to
vote.
The suggestion is to maintain the windows the grid and form

7. DISCUSSION ITEM(S)
7.A. HPB Account Information and Budget
Mr. David asked to wait on the response from the director of finance as
she is currently out of the office.
7.B. Month of May Activities
Mr. Saadeh spoke about the different events for the month of May and
gave insight on the need to know what part of the budget is.
The garden signs are ready before the 30th.
May 2nd the opening night at the library at 6:30pm of the centennial
houses
May 11th self-driving tour starting at the Brockway Memorial Library, five
centennial spectacular houses. There will be a map and a brochure to
give out to the guests. Mr. Saadeh stated to change the price from $75
to $50 to make it more inviting.
Mr. Saadeh stated that there are sponsors that want to donate to the
Historic Preservation Board for future events. The concern for volunteers
and lower the price. Mr. Saadeh spoke about having students help with

the tours. Ms. Bonaduce asked to have a waiver for volunteers and
students to sign. Mr. Saadeh is getting a quote, and explain the options.
8. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
April 28th, 2024 the support of the members and the forum May 16th, 2024.
June 12th for Ms. Headley. HPB July 17th also a Wednesday.
9. NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING- MAY 9th, 2024 (Update) Thursday
Item for the tour and update of the Finance.
