4.B
Ms. Hasbun stated that the board had approved the design of the
plaque as presented to the board, however the material is not what was
expected and stated that the detail of the logo is too small to make it
bronze. The designer suggested to amend the previous design and
reorient the logo vertically or redesign the logo and that way we can
maintain the alignment of the logo. The Shoreland had a seahorse logo
design and asked can we use that type of materiality, asked by Ms.
Bonaduce.
Mr. Bramson asked about the cost, and Ms. Hasbun stated the base
cost is $500 plus an additional $200 to have it 10 x 15 on the homes.
Ms. Bonaduce is opposed on having the plaque vertically and maintain
it horizontally. Also, the suggestion was to change the logo. Mr. Bachay
stated that this logo should reflect the miami shore village instead of
shoreland.
Motion to approve redesign to change the orientation as proposed
by Mr. Saaheh, seconded by Mr. Bramson. 4-0.
Council Presentation 2022-2023 report
Ms. Hasbun stated that the best time to start presenting to council
would be beneficial to draft a report and show information that is
applicable to the Historic Preservation Board.
Ms. Bonaduce asked Ms. Hasbun to include any events to the report.
Also, she asked if there was any budgetary help that the Village can
participate for centennial homes, and include it to the board council
presentation.
Mr. Saadeh asked is there a way that the Village can fund for the 100th
anniversary for the celebration of the Shoreland homes, and make it
part of a gala that would be a community event.
Motion by Mr. Saadeh to request time slots and prepare for the
council presentation seconded by Ms. Bonaduce. 4-0.
July 18th for the council meeting, Ms. Hasbun stated the preliminary
meeting would have to be
sometime on July 11th or before to prepare.
They agreed meeting would be July 6th, 2023 special meeting starting
