HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES

1) CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Bonaduce at 6:30 PM.

3) MINUTES
Motion to approve the minutes of March 15, 2023 by Mr. Bachay, seconded by Ms. Headley
and the Motion was approved 4-0.

4.A. Mary Benton Historic Gardens Discussion
This item was tabled until May 17, 2023.
4.B. Certificate of Appropriateness
Owner: Rebecca Ortiz
Address: 389 NE 99th St.

Ms. Rebecca Ortiz gave an in depth presentation of this item. She went over the addition to be
done. She explained extensively about all the details to be made.
The Board asked questions and requested to see the details of the addition to the Historic property.
Motion to approve with conditions attached by Ms. Headley, seconded by Mr. Bramson and the
Motion was approved 4-0.

3C. Historic Preservation Month (MAY) Coordination of Events
The Board and Staff went over the events to be held the Month of May, 2023
May 5, 2023 at 5:30 PM - Village Hall Marker.
May 7, 2023 Library Meeting
Ma 13, 2023 Walking Tour
May 30, 2023 - Unveiling ceremony of Community Church.
Staff informed the Board that the invitations will be sent the end of this week -beginning of next week.
Staff asked for sponsorship with regards to the catering we need.
Chair Bonaduce does not like the plaque material being presented by Staff. The pricing of the metal
bronze plaques is $550.00. Staff informed the board about the amount left in the budget this fiscal
year $275.00. We can ask for more next fiscal year.
Next meeting will be May 17, 2023.
