HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES

1) CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Castellanos called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

3) ACTION ITEM(S)
3. A Approval of the Minutes for May 19, 2022 and August 10, 2022.
Motion to approve the Minutes for May 19, 2022 and August 10, 2022 by Mr. Bachay, seconded by Ms.
Bonaduce and the Motion was approved 3-0.

3. B Certificate of Appropriateness for Grand Concourse Condominium
421 Grand Concourse, Miami Shores, FL 33021

Ms. Hasbun gave a brief introduction as to the application before the Board. The property is going
through the 50-year re -certification.
Louis De Alavera, a member of the Condominium Board was present for the application and gave a
brief explanation of the scope of work performed.
The Board asked questions about why the application did not come before the Board until after the fact.
The applicant explained that there was exploratory work done but nothing major. Bids are being
considered and submitted to the Association Board for consideration.
The painting of the building will be a similar color as what it has now.
Motion to approve by Mr. Bachay - Paint accordingly - Paint to match existing adjacent and additional
condition - Architectural Elements and Detail, seconded by Chairman Castellanos and the
Motion was approved 3-0.

4) DISCUSSION ITEM(S)
4. A Markers - Update.
Ms. Hasbun informed the Board that she had received the plaque for Village Hall.
Motion to approve a ceremony type function by Ms. Bonaduce, seconded by Mr. Bachay and the Motion
was approved 3-0.
4. B Historic Plaques.
Ms. Hasbun - which the expense needs to be included in the Budget.
The Board and Staff discussed the material of the plaques; the size will be decided 8X10".
There was discussion as to which properties will be receiving the plaques.
Ms. Hasbun - ask for five plaques to be included in the Budget.
4. C Letters from the Historic Board to the community.
This item tabled until next meeting.
Motion to table by Mr. Bonaduce, seconded by Mr. Bachay and the Motion was approved 3-0.
5) ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned.
