AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA,
READOPTING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR
PROPERTIES LOCATED IN MIAMI SHORES
VILLAGE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DA TE.

WHEREAS, Miami Shores Village (the "Village") Council recognizes that,
periodically, it is necessary to review the Village Zoning Map in order to ensure that the
Map is current and consistent with the Village's Zoning Code, Comprehensive Plan and
Future Land Use Map; and
WHEREAS, the Village's zoning map is currently in draft form, yet remains the
primary document relied upon for zoning and land use decisions within the Village
boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council recognizes the importance of maintaining
consistency and clarity in planning efforts to effectively manage growth and development
within the community; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and prudent to readopt the official zoning map
to provide a definitive and finalized version that accurately reflects the current zoning
designations and boundaries within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to ensure that a finalized version of the
official zoning map is kept on record by the Village Clerk for future reference and
regulatory purposes; and
46 Section 2. Official Zoning Map Readopted. That the Zoning Map of Miami
47 Shores Village is replaced with Exhibit "A," Official Zoning Map, attached hereto and
48 incorporated herein, to be maintained and kept on file by the Village Clerk, in accordance
49 with Section 301, "Zoning Map Adopted" of the Village Code of Ordinances.
50 Section 3. Conflicting Provisions. The Planning, Zoning, and Resiliency
51 Director, through the Village Manager, is directed to publish, distribute, and maintain
52 Exhibit "A" and to provide revisions and updates to the Office of the Village Clerk for
53 official purposes.
54 Section 4. Conflicting Provisions. All Miami Shores Village Code provisions,
55 ordinances, parts of ordinances or maps, in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
56 are hereby repealed, but only to the extent of such conflict.
57 Section 5. Severability. That the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to
58 be severable and if any section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance shall, for
59 any reason, be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the
60 validity of the remaining sections, sentences, clauses, and phrases of this Ordinance, but
61 they shall remain in effect, it being the legislative intent that this Ordinance shall stand
62 notwithstanding the invalidity of any part.
63 Section 6. Effective Date. That this Ordinance shall be effective immediately
64 upon passage by the Village Council on second reading.
