Advisory Board Meeting
Wednesday, July 19, 2023
Present: M. Puglisi, B. Griffith, R. Burnette, T. Septembre, P. Rajo, S. Maroon, T. Halloran, C. Baetzel,
R. Strickland, P. Arutyunov, and A. Pozzi
Meeting called to order at 5:34 pm
June 28t" Meeting Minutes were approved pending 1 correction from Mr. Maroon
A. Pozzi —
• The new golf cart fleet was delivered and we are very happy with the carts and the GPS
• We have not received any negative comments about the geo fencing
S. Maroon —
• The signal sound is good when approaching a restricted area
• Will the new golf cart fleet have 2 sand buckets?
C. Baetzel —
• Yes, the golf carts will have 2 sand buckets
• In regards to the geo fencing, some of the ladies tees have to be adjusted
• Please have patience with us, we lost the golf course assistant superintendent, we are dealing
with a host of issues with the golf course equipment
• We are at the end of the 48-month contract, delivery of new equipment package is delayed
B. Griffith —
• Is all the maintenance equipment leased?
• Do you have a mechanic on staff
A. Pozzi —
• Not all the equipment is leased just the front line equipment
• We do have a full time mechanic on staff
• The tree contractor is still working, should complete the work by next Tuesday
• We received a resignation letter from the Catering Manager, she is leaving for a better
opportunity
S. Maroon — Can anyone step up to be the assistant superintendent?

A. Pozzi —
• Not at this time, we did promote someone to foreman
• The assistant superintendent must have solid experience and be able to apply fertilizers and
chemicals
• The month of June was excellent, although, we are starting to feel the slowdown in rounds of
golf and catering
New Business:
B. Griffith —Are you going to replace the tree on #3?
A. Pozzi — Yes, we first have to remove the tree and stump
M. Puglisi —The tall tree on # 9 is dead
B. Griffith —Are Friday night's dinner going to stop for the summer?
A. Pozzi — No, Friday night dinners will continue
B. Griffith — Have you finalized the new membership rates?
A. Pozzi — We are in the process of finalizing the rates
M. Puglisi — Is there a waitlist for membership?
A. Pozzi — We currently have about 35 prospective members on the waitlist, all the people on the
waitlist have put $1000 down to secure their position
B. Griffith —Can cart keys be kept on the cart?
C. Baetzel — We cannot issue carts other than for members to go to the back range. The only way the
starter can control carts and 15t tee is by issuing the key only when the group is ready to tee
off and starter gets a ticket
P. Rajo —The 2 new Pro -Shop girls on Saturday are very efficient
R. Burnette —
• Had an early morning tee time on Tuesday and showed up early and the Pro -Shop was not open
• The new bag room attendant, Ryan was here at 6:05 am, but we had to wait till 6:30 am when
Sandra and Edder opened, and my tee time was at 6:35 am
A. Pozzi — We have addressed it, if they cannot be on time then they can have a closing shift

R. Burnette —They are good employees
• We are putting the maintenance crew in a bad position when golfers tee off earlier in the
morning
• Miami Shores Village has a noise ordinance which we must follow
R. Burnette —
• The pins were not out on Tuesday
• Could not communicate with the workers
M. Puglisi —Are we moving the flags around?
A. Pozzi — We are keeping the pins away from weak areas
M. Puglisi —The hedge on #8 blue tee is very high and creates a lot of shade
A. Pozzi - We will have it trimmed
T. Septembre —
• What happened to the bag rack?
• The tree in the front is not surviving
A. Pozzi —
• The bag rack was damaged by a delivery truck, Chris will remove it
• The tree is showing signs of life. If it does not come back we will have no choice but to remove
it
S. Maroon —
• M.G.A. Calcutta tournament is on August 26, please send an email blast
• Played with Seth for the US open tournament and he explained why the course is like this and
some of the things that David is doing, understood the situation a little better
• On the right side of #2 green the bushes are growing over
• #3 bush is causing the carts to veer left
• #14 is very shaded
C. Baetzel —
• M.G.A. is doing a great job with recruitment and getting members to join
• The British Open is sold out at 60 people
• September 21 will be the first P.C.M. cup
T. Septembre — Can the specials email blast go out earlier than Friday?
P. Arutyunov —
• Will send the specials out on Thursday from now on
• Slowing down a little bit
• The weekends in July are booked with parties
• Friday night dinner business is ok
• The lunches on Monday through Thursday are starting to slow down
• July 41h was a great event
• Currently interviewing candidates for the Catering Manager position
R. Strickland — No meeting in August, next meeting is scheduled for September 27
