Pozzi — • Yes, we are adding sand to all the bunkers • The fairways are almost back, we may raise the height of cut • Raising the fairways would be a major project because we have to divert the water elsewhere, digging up ponds and lakes which would require permitting from DERM and FL D.E.P. B. Griffith — Did you get new golf course flags? A. Pozzi — Yes, we did M.S.C.C. Baetzel — Sand buckets are on back order M. Puglisi — Do you have an update on the lights along Biscayne boulevard? T. Septembre — • Found out that Dade County is responsible for the lights • FPL checked that there is power up the light poles • Finally received a call from the mayor's office and the job went out for bid and it should be completed by the middle of December R. Burnette — • The starter should have more power to tell players to speed up • 1 do not want to hear that they are playing in 2 hours, so it is ok A. Pozzi — Our objective is to maintain a 4 hour to 4-hour 15 minute average pace of play. The 2 hour time for the front 9 is used by staff to gauge the overall pace of play and determine if a group is behind pace. We will work with staff to improve how we communicate with members and guests M. Puglisi — Sometimes play is very slow S. Maroon —Sometimes it takes is too long to play 18 holes M.S.C.C. Pozzi — • We do have a ranger on Saturdays, the busiest day of the week • Will discuss with the professional staff and will add ranger shifts R. Burnette — • Pace of play is a big problem • According to golf course etiquette, you should let players play through A. Pozzi — Agreed. Unfortunately, not all golfers know or care to follow golf course etiquette S. Maroon — • Hard to accept a 5-hour pace • Can enforce that if someone has a 30 handicap that they should not play the blue tees A. Pozzi — • We are not saying that a 5-hour round is acceptable. Our goal is a 4-hour to 4-hour 15-minute average • Our golf course plays very differently from other courses because of layout and length C. Baetzel — Will be on it, it takes time to play through and if someone is that fast sometimes, they skip a hole M. Puglisi — Make a sign that says: We take the pace of play very seriously and please be courteous and keep up with the group in front of you A. Pozzi — Will do and we will laminate and put in the golf carts R. Burnette — I had 16 angry golfers with me W. Griffith — Did you lose the ranger? C. Baetzel — Lost Jaime but moved Kenny to ranger on Saturdays M. Puglisi — • Thank you for fixing the step on #2 • #11 was also fixed and it helps with the carts • Can you please talk to David about not mowing the fairways before 8 am • What about the tree on #16? 10000 BISCAYNE BOULEVARD o MIAMI SHORES, FLORIDA 33138 • 305-795-2360 - FAX 305-795-2384 (Cot "y (6// fl r/ A.
