2022-07-13 CCAB MINUTESA Advisory Board Meeting Wednesday, July 13, 2022 Present: T. Septembre, B. Griffith, S. Maroon, M. Gallo, P. Rajo, C. Baetzel, R. Strickland and A. Pozzi Meeting called to order at 5:35 pm May Meeting Minutes were approved pending a change on Mr. Tom Septembre's comment about high school play A. Pozzi - • We are hoping for rain, we had 12 inches of rain in the beginning of June and that is pretty much all we have had since. Fortunately, both irrigation pumps are working • The Covid impact on golf rounds, is tapering off, started in May, and has continued in June and July • For this time of the year Food and Beverage traffic and banquet bookings are very encouraging • On the staffing front, we have enough people to handle the current volume of business, and now we need to focus on training New Business: B. Griffith — Noticed that the greens were just punched, when are you punching the greens again? A. Pozzi — We just completed the 2"d aerification, the third and last greens aerification of the year is scheduled for the Tuesday after Labor Day B. Griffith — How does the lack of rain affect the recovery of the greens? N '• • Lack of rain extends the length of time it will take for the greens to recover • There is no substitute for Mother Nature B. Griffith —The fairways are in great condition S. Maroon — Why is the rough so high? A. Septembre — • The plants under the port cochere should be replaced with something more upscale? • Are you going to bring back the burger night? A. Pozzi — Will do a craft beer and burger night on Thursdays as soon as we get everyone back from vacation P. Rajo — • What changes are going to be made to the membership? • Saturday lunch service is running smoother • The dates for the MGA Classic are December 9-11 and dates for the MGA Member - Guest are March 10-12 • The paved area looks good A. Pozzi — • We are still working out all the details for the membership billing • To accommodate existing members, tee time demand on Saturdays and Sunday mornings we will not increase the number of memberships with weekend playing privileges • Current members will have until the end of September to renew their membership, after that we will go the people that are on the waiting list to fill in any open memberships M. Gallo — • I went to another club this past weekend and was not greeted by the pro shop staff or outside operations staff; it is so nice to see that every time you walk into our pro -shop you are greeted by a member of the staff • Coming this Friday to dinner S. Maroon — • Came to dinner 2 Friday nights ago and it was very good • #7 between the blue & white tees, the cart path has been fixed • #14 there is a dip in the cart path on the right side • #15 there is a small bump when you turn left on the cart path • #17 on the cart path there are trees that need to be trimmed • Does the beverage cart girl start at gam? • Mr. Burnette texted me some of the logo samples and I will forward them to the board A. Pozzi —The beverage cart attendant is scheduled to start work at 8:00 am but she has to load the cart and ice it down. Baetzel — • We had 66 players for the Father's Day Tournament, which was a very nice turnout • Austin is doing a great job with the summer camp, it has been sold out every week • We will have a new format for the Labor Day Tournament: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, the 1st 6 holes best ball, the second 6 holes worst ball and the last 6 are combined • The pro shop will be updated with the winners of the golf tournaments soon • There are 11 new directional signs on the golf course to help show the golfers where to go R.
