Meeting called to order at 5:34 pm
March Meeting Minutes were approved
Formally introduced Ms. Jenny Aranguren as the Club's new Catering Manager
J. Aranguren — Very happy to be here
Old Business:
A. Pozzi —
• Ordered a new set of ballwashers
• The production of pavers is behind, the contractor said they should be in the first week of May
P. Arutyunov —Will follow up tomorrow
A. Pozzi — Mr. Burnette please pass along the information to Resa about the logo company
R. Burnette — Need some ideas so the company can start on something
A. Pozzi — Maybe it could incorporate a pineapple, as the pineapple is a symbol for hospitality, and it ties
to Miami Shores history since this land was originally settled as a pineapple plantation
C. Baetzel — Maybe it could have a canal and/or a manatee
A. Pozzi — Per Mr. Rajo's request the professional staff has been working diligently on the Golf Genius
scoring program and feel confident that they are ready to go live
C. Baetzel —
• Mr. Garcia went to train at Miami Beach Golf Club and has become proficient, and we are ready
to use it for the US Open tournament on Father's Day and the scoring will be posted on the bar
TV
• Not sure it would work for the Saturday Stableford as all participation would have to sign up by
the prior Thursday to be registered and have scorecards ready for the Saturday game

A. Garcia —
• The procedure will be different, will be able to send updates via text
• Player would have to accept the invitation to play
S. Maroon — Would the program be more for weekly events or tournaments?
C. Baetzel —
• This would be used more for the tournaments
• Would have to load everything and print the scorecards, that's why we would need the players
list early
B. Griffith — I find the live scoring very distracting as it requires that I input my score while playing golf
P. Rajo —
• Why can't you have everyone in the system and remove them if they do not play
• Can it count for adjustments?
C. Baetzel —
• We can input a list of regular Saturday players and use it as a base with the understanding that
the list may not be all inclusive which will preclude someone who is not a regular Saturday
player from participating in the Stableford
• Would have to manually adjust
• The system pulls from the information in GHIN system, so it is linked to the email that you used
for the GRIN system
B. Griffith —The scores update in the GHIN system immediately?
C. Baetzel — Yes, they do
A. Pozzi — We will implement the use of the Golf Genius scoring for the Stableford after the British Open
tournament
New Business:
A. Pozzi —
• We are in the process of interviewing candidates for the superintendent position
• Seth accepted the position of Director of Agronomy at Miami Beach Golf Club and Normandy
Shores Golf Club
• We hope you are happy for Seth; he has done a fantastic job for 20 years and very much
deserves this opportunity
• As a company we do not have a significant turnover in management, that job has not been
available since 2005
B. Griffith — What would the job entail?
