Meeting called to order at 5:32 pm
December Meeting Minutes were approved
A. Pozzi —
• Mr. Septembre asked for a report for the Tennis ratio of Miami Shores residents to non-
residents. 52% of members are non-residents and 48% members are residents —cannot
quantify if guests are residents or non-residents
• On the Golf side we can quantify rounds by South Florida Residents, visitor, will have numbers
for the next meeting
T. Septembre —Would be nice to have a report
B. Griffith — Do we have any arrangements with the area hotels? What is your arrangement with Golf
Now?
A. Pozzi —
• Yes, we do, although most out of town golfers book online
• We give golf now a comp round every day and they sell that
• In case you have not seen it, the new deck furniture has arrived
• The new ball washer has arrived also
• Added 5 new carts to our regular fleet but they do not fit under the tracks, they are now
convertible carts
• We now have 77 carts
R. Burnette — Are all carts leased?
A. Pozzi — Yes, the carts are leased, the old leases used to be for 3 years, but the new fleet is now leased
for 5 years with an option to turn over the lease in 4 years. The new fleet have lithium
batteries and they do last longer
T. Septembre — Is the club responsible for changing the lithium batteries on the carts?

A. Pozzi — No, we do not have to replace the batteries, they are under warranty for 5 years
New Business:
A. Pozzi —
• Business continues to be very strong
• Food and Beverage business has picked up
• On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays the golf course is at complete capacity
• The deal with the soccer league and Mel Reese looks like it is going to go through and may
happen in the fall
• We are sorry to see Mel Reese go
C. Baetzel — Update on the Diplomat golf course — A new investor will put 20 million and they are doing
another redesign, there will be a $300,000 initiation fee
A. Pozzi - LaGorce has a tremendous waiting list - $400,000 initiation fee offering old members to not
renew $100,000 — no takers
T. Septembre — Riviera Country Club has 150 to 200 on the waiting list and Ocean Reef County Club the
social membership is $250,000
A. Pozzi —
• We continue to have staffing issues, hired some new employees, and lost some employees,
covid and quarantine are also an issue
• The paver project permit was bounced back twice by the building department — hopefully it will
get approved and we can start the project soon
S. Maroon —The divots and ball marks continue to be an issue
R. Burnette — Can we have someone standing on the I" tee to push people to go out on time and
remind them to fix divots?
C. Baetzel —
• We can, but in my opinion someone who does not care would not do it, people who care will do
it anyway
• Better to use the labor cost for additional workers to drive around the course and fill divots

R. Burnette — __A_
• There is an improvement with the tee times, they have been on time
• Edder is pushing the golfers to be on time at the tee box
S. Maroon —what is the policy when golfers arrive late?
C. Baetzel —
• We do the best to fit them back into the tee sheet
• Most golfers arrive 20 minutes early so their tee time would move up
• The problem occurs with groups with more than one tee time reservation
R. Burnette —
• There are problems with the phone system
• Mr. Kroop's call got dropped today
• It is happening on a regular basis
A. Pozzi — Will talk to our phone service provider
C. Baetzel —Talked to a lot of members and there has not been any issues, that I am aware of
S. Maroon — Have not had any issues for 2 months
C. Baetzel —
• On Saturday Mornings there are about 16 to 20 tee times, 6:54 or 7:00 am is the first tee time
• There is a twosome that goes off @6:38 am (in the dark) if it offends anyone, we will stop letting
them go off first
R. Burnette —
• Can we consider having a parking spot for club champion for the net and gross winners?
• Should have a sign with the winner's name on it, will pay for the sign
C. Baetzel — Do not have enough spots to block approximately 10 spots
A. Pozzi — In a private club is where you mostly see it — semiprivate hard to enforce it, will create issues
R. Burnette — Falling on deaf ears, will move on
I. Fajardo — A couple friend of mine was here from Massachusetts, and they loved the golf course and
the restaurant
B. Griffith —
• Any decision on the Saturday morning bar service?
• Have you had to turn banquet business away?
• Are you planning on replacing some of the trees that were removed?

A. Pozzi —
• I trust you have seen an improvement in Saturday morning service
• We do not have the staff to dedicate 2 servers just for members
• Curtis knows everyone and what they like to drink and puts the orders in right away
• The banquet business has dropped but we have not turned anything away
• We cancelled New Year's Eve Party for the first time ever, we were getting a lot of cancellations
because of Covid
• Over the years we have lost many trees because of hurricanes and also older Ficus and
Australian pines that were either hit by lightning or rotted out. For the most part it has been a
positive for the golf course because we no longer have to deal with shade issues. If you think
any of the lost trees had strategic value, please let us know and we will consider replacing them
C. Baetzel —The service for the member — member tournament went very well, Curtis was scheduled
earlier
B. Griffith —Are you planning on doing the double tee?
C. Baetzel — Already set the tee sheet in March for it for about 3 weeks
T. Septembre — What is happening with the dress code?
A. Pozzi -
• We have relaxed enforcement
• We do not allow t-shirts, tank tops, denim, short shorts, or flip flops
• The dress code is more of an issue on the golf course, and we are a little more relaxed on the
driving range
T. Septembre — What about the blazer patches?
A. Pozzi — Will look into it
P. Rajo —
• What about the shoe cleaner by the locker room?
• There is damage on # 5 and #9 green
A. Pozzi —
• Will look into it
• On # 9 was done probably with someone with a club and #5 most likely was done by the coyotes
C. Baetzel — Both spots have been fixed
M. Wilcoxen —
• Happy to be back, had hand surgery and Chuck was in the hospital for 15 days
• Played the last 2 weeks
• There are a couple holes on the cart path
