2024-17RESOLUTION NO. __ _ A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA, APPROVING A FLORIDA LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM ("LAP") AGREEMENT FM# 446054-1-58-01/ 68-01 WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("FDOT"), PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO THE VILLAGE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $375,655 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AND CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING INSPECTION (CEI) SERVICES REQUIRED FOR THE MUL TIMODAL MOBILITY IMPROVEMENTS ALONG NE 5TH AVENUE (SR 915) BETWEEN 95 TH STREET AND NE 107TH STREET PE DESTRIAN PROMENADE; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in 2015, Miami Shores Village (the "Village") conducted a Multimodal Mobility Study, which provides for enhanced safety and mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists by implementing neighborhood greenways, shared land markings, high-emphasis textured intersections, and bicycle and pedestrian crossing improvements for better connectivity with in the central area of the Village; and WHEREAS, Construction of on-road and off-road trail facilities for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other non-motorized forms of transportation, including sidewalks, bicycle infrastructure, pedestrian and bicycle signals, traffic calming techniques, lighting, and other safety-related infrastructure, and transportation projects is necessary to achieve compliance with the American with Disabilities Act of 1990; and 2024-17 18 June
