The calculated pressures (by others) indicated the following: Field = 40.9 PSF Perimeter = 64.79 PSF Corner = 64.79 PSF (3' high parapet wall) ACRC conducted two Bell Chamber uplift tests, one in the field and one in the corner in accordance with TAS 124 of the test protocols for high velocity hurricane zones, 2017 edition. Both tests met the requirements of FBC building codes. (ACRC 0549 BC). The Steel deck structural system was designed and installed by the Engineer of records (by others) for the project in accordance with their design criteria. It must be noted, steel decks are normally tested with a 5/8" puddle weld and not 3/4" puddle weld. This pattern is typical in the industry and has performed extremely well in the high velocity hurricane zones. As a result, it is our professional opinion that this roof system was properly installed and will meet the requirements of the Florida building Codes for high velocity hurricane zones.
