TILE AND OTHER FLOOR FINISHES
SCOPE OF "10RK: - Under this heading are included all tile
work and floor finishes other than wood, cement, linoleum
and asphalt tile, and includes:
Front steps and stoop - quarry tile,
Bathroom floor in Octagonal permastile.
Bathroom wainscote - Glazed Tile.
Kitchen drainbo.ard, back and sides - Glazed Tile
All win,�ow sills - Glazed.
Reach porch - Quarry Tile.
All glazed the shall be standard grade, color selected
by Owner. All tile shall be brought to job in original
sealed packages; all tile shall be installed by skilled
mechanics throughly competent to execute the work. All
tile out on job shall be straight an.` uniform, shall be
grouted and pointed with proper grouting mixes, and after
pointed, all surfaces shall be thoroughly cleaned in
accordance with good practice.
Red clay bricks shall be set by tile setter for a comp-
lete hearth. Cast stone fireplace shall be set by a the
setter.
LINOLEUY FLOORS
LINOLEUM FLOOR: - Kitchen floors shall be covered with
standard gauge linoleum as selected by Owner before the
application of shoe mold. The best material and workman-
ship are to be employed.
MEDICINE CABINET
FURNISH AND SET 14" x 26" medicine cabinets of selection as
made by the Owner. Allow $12.00.

ssed guides.
SHEET 11TAL AND ROOFING
ROOF:- Entire roof areas shall be first covered with #30
roofing felt. Felt shall be applied to have at least a
6" horizontal and vertical lap, with vertical joints
staggered and nailed with large head copper roofing nails.
Felt on ridges shall lap at least 12" both ways. Follow
with90# felt swabbed in with pitch. All roof areas shown
as having tile shall be covered with white cement tile.
All tile to 'e set in cement mortar and any further manner
in common practise to insure a permanent roof. No badly
broken tile will be accepted and all roofs must be swept
down and cleaned of any mortar or other debris and left
in good condition.
SHEEP METAL: - All flashing, valleys, etc., to be in li oz.
copper, edging strips on all sheathing. Furnish drip
strip in copper. Other sheet metal work as shown.

PL ULTI NG
SCOPE OF ':iORK: - It is the intent of these specifications
to provide for a complete and perfect system of drainage,
venting, cold water supply, and incidental to a complete
and efficient plumbing installation and water connections
to heating plant. This contractor shall be held strictly
responsible for the quality of materials furnished and for
the proper installation of the system. All work shall
conform to the rules and regulations of the E`Sami plumbing
code. Yiarri.
PERI.O:TS AND CONNECTIONS: - The builder shall obtain all
necessary permits and pay for the same. He shall provide
water from the beginning of the operations. He shall
excavate for all pipes and backfill at completion,
removing all excess dirt.
MEASUREMENTS AND CHASES: - All ,easurements for plumbing
shall be made by this builder. He shall also instruct
other trades as to the cutting of all chases and shall
be responsible for their proper location.
GUARANTEE: - This guilder shall furnish a written guarantee
and make good to the Owner any defects in material and
workmanship which may develop withing one year after the
completion and acceptance of the job.
VALVES: - All vlaves shall be Crane. or Jenkins -polished
brass valves and of full size of the pipe they control.
INDEPENDENT RISERS: - Each column of fixtures shall have
independent risers for both not and cold water.
CONTROL VALVES: - Approved stop valves to match fittings
shall be provided on both hot and cold water supplies
beneath each fixture.
HOSE COCKS: - Provide two hose cocks where shown.
AIR CHAMBERS: - Air chambers shall be placed on hot and
cold water supply.
HOT WATER SUPPLY: - Connect hot water supply to tank and
to all fixtures except water closets and hose bibs.
SEPTIC TANK - The septic tank shall be furnished and
installed where shown or directed"and shall have a
capacity of a least 700 gallons. Laterals of at least
125' in total length shall be installed in trenches
where 4" of broken stone had been placed.

ELECTRIC WIRING
SCOPE OF :".ORK - It is the intent of these specifications
to provide for a complete and perfect system of electric
wiring. Before beginning work, electric contractor
shall submit to the Architect a complete layout in
duplicate with the stamp of approval of the Florida
Power & Light Co. The perfect operation of the system
is to be guaranteed by this Builder. This builder shall
pap[ for all permits, connections and inspection fees.
He shall comply with all local ordinances and with all
rules and regulations of the Board of Fire Underwriter.
GUARANTEE: - Contractor shall guarantee the installation
and make good any defects developing withing one year
of acceptance of the work.
