COOPERATION: - Contracor shall cooperate with all other
trades and install his work without damage to others.
CUTTING AND REPAIRING: - The electrical contractor shall do
all cutting and repairing of his own work at his own expense
and shall avoid all unnecessary cutting.
SERVICE CONNECTION$: - Shall be brought from the Power Company
nearest service point to location indicated on plans.
CONDUIT ;ORK: - All wiring throughout shall be in approved
steel pipe. All pipes shall be installed behind plaster of
walls and in floor construction.
MATERIAL: - All material used, such as wires, outlet boxes,
panel bords, etc. shall be of the latest design and the
best of their respective kinds.
WALL SWITCHES: - All wall switches shall be tumbler type
with smoothe bakelite plates, except in kitchen and baths,
where they shall be }oliahed chrome on brass. Install gang
switch where indicated on plans.
RECEPTACLES: - Provide and install Where shown on drawings,
duples flush receptacles, with Bakelite plates and chromium
plates as specified for wall switches.
CHIMES: — A two tone set of chimes shall be installed where
directed. Push buttons at ki#chen and front doors.
TELEPHONE:- Telephone outlet shown on drawings. Consult
Owner 3a to exact location. Run conduit from outlets to
exterior of building.
CONNECTIONS TO HEATING SYSTEM; - Consult Plumber for all
connections to water heating system and cooperate with him
in every respect.
FINALLY: - Consult Owner before beginning wiring installation
as to location of outlets.
ELECTRIC FIXTURES - Allow the Owner the sum of $50.00 for
the purchase of all electric fixtures. Electric contractor
shall install these at his own expense.
PROVIDE i RING FOR 1000w 30 gal. water heater. Allow
$130.00 for heater.
PAINTING
SCOPE OF `:PORK$ - The painting contractor shall, as part of
this contract, furnish all materials, labor, tools, UV-FVo1i
and other appliances required to properly excute and complete
the work according to the plans and these specifications.
MATERSALS: - All materials used shall be as manufactured by
Sherwin PPilliams, Dupont, or equal. Materials shall be
delivered at building in the original containers, with
labels, intact and seals unbroken. All tinting and mixing
required shall be done on premises and no materials are to
be reduced or changed, except as specified by manufacturer of
said materials. The Owner is to approve all colors before
application of the material.
WORK14AANSHIP: — All work shall be done by skilled mechancis
in a workmanlike manner. No succeding coats shall be
applied until the preceding coatis thoroughly dry. All
necessary puttying of nail holes, cracks, open joints and
other defects shall be done after the priming coat is dry,
and Before the sedond coat is applied. The putty is to be
a pure linseed oil, a minimum amount of whiting and white
lead putty, tinted to match the finish coat.
PROTECTION: - This contractor shall protect the work of all
other trades against damage or injury by his employees,
or by the materials, tools, or utensils used in connection
with this contract.
EXTERIOR PAINTING: - All exterior painting of woodwork,
metal, and steel shall consist of a priming coat and two
additional coats of leak and oil paint applied as per
manufacturer's directions and colored as to suit Owner. The
paint used shall be auitable for the surfaces to be covered.
INTERIOR WOOD'WORK. - All -interior wood work shall be given
three coats of approved paint. Sandpaper between coats.
Colors and quality og paint to be selected by Owner.
EXTERIOR STUCCO:- To be given two co-ts of Somay, or
approved equal. The best quality of waterproof paint
shall be used, tinted as selectd.
GUARANTEE
All Sub -Contractors and the Builder shall provide the
Owner with a written statement guaranteeing all materials,
equipment and workmanship against defects for a period of
one year.
KITCHEN AND BATHS: - Kitchen and bath plastered surfaces are II
to be given two coats of enamel or approved equal and of
tints as selected by Owner.
