Dear Building official:
Pursuant to the authorization of Luis and Carrie Reynoso, the owners, I Timothy Schrock conducted
an inspection at the above referenced site. As per owner informed the drywall was installed on or about
"October 28 2018 at 11:00 am" and the building code in effect was "2017 Florida Building Code sixth
edition". The Methodology used to verify the as built condition was by direct observation of the elements.
Forensics Inspections and Methodologv:
Various portions of the walls in the Master Bathroom and Guest Bathroom were demolished to expose the
cement tile backer, allowing for visual inspection of the material used and installed. Visual inspection
confirms the following as built conditions in the two bathrooms:
Bathrooms Cement Tile Backer Board:
• Cement Tile Backer Board on Metal Studs: Opened the drywall to verify '/2" thick Cement Tile
Backer Board on 3 5/8" metal studs with 1 '/4" cement board self -drilling screws @ 8" o.c
• Cement Tile Backer Board on CBS Wall: Opened the drywall to verify ''/2" thick Cement Tile
Backer Board on metal strip furring channel fastened to EPS part of quad -lock system (HDPE
cross -ties), with 1 '/4" cement board self -drilling screws @ 8" o.c.
Based on this visual inspection, I hereby certify in the best of my knowledge that the structure "is
structurally sound" and in compliance with Florida Building Code 2017 sixth edition and safe for the
current specified use and continued occupancy.
