I certify that attachments to the roof for the photovoltaic system installed at the location referenced above
were installed according the approved permitted plans and in accordance with the requirements of the 7tF
the Florida Building Code. Manufacturer instructions were followed in the installation of racking
components including tightening hardware to the proper torque specifications.
Attachments to the tile roof were made at the center of each truss using 5/16" lag screws embeded a
minimum of 3" into the center of each truss. A three course method using asphalt sealant and roofing
mesh was applied to the base of each flashiing extending a minimum of 2" from each base. Tile
Replacement Flashings were used to replace the tiles removed.
Aluminum standoff attachments were installed on the rolled asphalt roof using two 5/16" lag screws
embeded at least 3" into the center of each truss. A 12"x12" alumium cone flashing was placed over each
standoff and nailed to the roof using four roofing nails. A three course method of consisting of alternating
layers of modified cement and mesh were applied around the perimeter of each cone flashing and
extending a minimum of 2" beyod the border of the aluminum cone. This was then finished using roofing
granules.
As a result of my inspections, I have determined to the best of my knowledge, ability and observations to
the extent reasonably possible, that the installation above is in compliance and structurally sound from a
constructability standpoint. Therefore, your consideration for final approval and closing the subject
permit is requested.
