PART 1.0 - GENERAL
THE FOLLOWING OUTLINE SPECIFICATIONS ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE MATERIALS AND
SYSTEMS TO COMPLY WITH ARCHITECT DESIGN INTENT. THESE SPECIFICATIONS ARE FOR
GENERAL GUIDELINE PURPOSES FOR THE PROJECT AND BY NO MEANS ARE TO BE
CONSIDERED COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALL REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR THIS
PROJECT. THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW REPRESENT ONLY THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS AND
THE MATERIALS THAT THE ARCHITECT HAS SELECTED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE GUIDELINE AND PROVIDE MATERIALS AND ANY OTHER
REQUIRED ACCESSORY OR SERVICE TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE SYSTEM OR PRODUCT
FOR THE INTENDED USES. ALL MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP FOR EACH MATERIAL IN
THIS PROJECT SHALL BE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURE OF THE PRODUCT
AND/OR ANY INDUSTRY CODE OR STANDARD THAT MAY APPLY.
UNLESS DIRECTED OTHERWISE BY THESE DRAWINGS, ALL OTHER ELEMENTS INCLUDING,
COLUMNS, WALLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRICAL OUTLETS, MECHANICAL VENTS, AND
FIXTURES ARE EXISTING TO REMAIN. UNIT COMPLIES WITH ALL CODE REQUIREMENTS, ALL
NECESSARY LIFE SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS EXISTING AND FUNCTIONING, INCLUDING SMOKE
ALARMS AND FIRE SPRINKLERS. THESE ITEMS ARE BEING OMITTED FROM THESE
DRAWINGS AND ARE NOT BEING AFFECTED BY THE SCOPE OF WORK IN THIS PROJECT.
THESE ITEMS MAY BE ADDRESSED BY THE INSPECTORS AT THE TIME OF INSPECTIONS.
CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT HE WILL HOLD OWNER, ARCHITECT, ENGINEERS, AND/OR

CLAIMS WHICH MAY ARISE BY REASON OF ANY NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE

SUPPLIERS, AND/OR ANY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS, IN THE PERFORMANCE OF
THIS CONTRACT.
IN CASE ANY ACTION IS BROUGHT AGAINST THE OWNER, OR ARCHITECT, OR ENGINEER,
OR ANY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS, CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME FULL
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFENSE THEREOF, TO THE FULL SATISFACTION OF THE LATTER
PARTY.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM THE WORK IN COMPLIANCE WITH THESE DOCUMENTS

2014, LOCAL AND STATE CODES AND ANY OTHER APPLICABLE CODES
AND STANDARDS.
THIS DRAWING IS A GUIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE
ELECTRICAL SERVICE, THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR IS
RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE A FUNCTIONING SYSTEM.

2. METAL BOXES AND ENCLOSURES CONTAINING

3. ALL NON -CURRENT -CARRYING CONDUCTIVE SURFACES
OF FIXED
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT LIKELY TO BECOME ENERGIZED THAT
ARE SUBJECT TO PERSONAL CONTACT, OPERATING AT OVER
ARC. FAULT CB INTERRUPTER PROTECTION NOTE:
ALL BRANCH CIRCUITS THAT SUPPLY 125V, 10, 15 AND 20 AMP

GENERAL PLUMBING NOTES:
1. A. ALL WORK SHALL BE DONE in accordance with the Florida
Building Code 2017 and with all applicable regulations.
B. DRAWINGS: Refer to all drawings for coordination of the
plumbing work.
C. ARRANGE AND PAY for all permits, licenses, inspections
and tests. Obtain the required certificates and present
to owner.
D. GUARANTEE: The completed installation shall be fully
guaranteed against defective materials and/or improper
workmanship for a minimum of one year for material and
labor.
E. ALL HORIZONTAL SANITARY PIPING 3" and larger shall slope
at 1/8 inch per foot minimum, unless noted otherwise.

2. SHOP DRAWINGS: Contractor shall submit for approval, within
30 days of signing contract, a minimum of five copies of fully

3. PLUMBING FIXTURES: Fixtures shall be as specified and shall be
furnished and installed by this contractor. Fixtures shall be
complete with drains, traps, supplies and any other accessory
required.
4. MATERIALS:
A. PIPING:
a. Soil, waste and vent, above ground:
TYPE "K" OR "L": SEAMLESS HARD DRAWN OR ANNEALED,
ASTM B88 TTPE DWV: SEAMLESS HARD DRAWN, ASTM B306
b. Domestic water: Copper pipe, Type L with sweat wrought
copper fittings. Type "M" in concealed spaces is
acceptable. Isolate piping from concrete with
insulating material.
d. P & T Relief and Drain Pan lines: DWV Copper pipe and ftgs.
e. Domestic water supply assembly: Chrome finish tubing
with angle shut off valves.
5. ALL AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC water heaters shall meet the
standards of the latest state energy efficiency code.
6. PIPING TEST AND DISINFECTION&
A. Test: All sanitary and domestic water supply piping shall
be tested for leaks before piping is concealed or connected
to equipment and plumbing fixtures.
B. Disinfection: All domestic water piping shall be
disinfected by introducing a solution of calcium
hypochlorite of 50 parts per million of chloride and as
per AWWA Standards.
7. VALVES: Domestic water valves shall be of bronze body,
sweat ends.
8. HOSE BIBBS: Shall be 1/2 inch. rough brass construction with
shut off valve and vacuum breaker.
9. ALL OUTDOORS FLOOR clean outs shall be terminated up to grade
and shall be marked.
10. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE exact location of sanitary, storm
and domestic water piping before starting any work. Notify
Architect/Engineer of any deviations from design drawings.
